Hello everyone!

It's been almost 3 months since Monet went OTJ and he continues to do well ! His BG today was 86 (AlphaTrak).
My hope and prayer is that each and every Kitty can one day get OTJ and all of you will feel the peace this brings.

One thing I have noticed is he seems to be more affectionate now than he use to be prior to being diagnosed with Diabetes.
Maybe it's his way of thanking me for finding you guys since you are the reason he's OTJ !!! He has definitely been a snugly kitty

Saturday I went by Vets to return some Science Diet food that Monet and Picasso no longer eat (as you guys pointed out ...it's just too high in carbs) & my Vet asked how the miracle kitty was doing. He said in all his years of practicing he had only heard of 7 cats that made it into remission and never one as quickly as Monet ! Guess he had never heard of FD / LL before where you guys make miracles come true quite often !

I just feel so blessed to have Monet OTJ and will continue to be diligent about testing & monitoring his health to do everything I can to keep him there!

I've been trying to get caught up on some condos to see how everyone is doing. Think of you often and miss you all much.
Hugs to everyone and thoughts and prayers to those who need them.

I hope you guys have a great week ahead and all Kitties get good numbers!

Love to all ...Rise' & Monet

Hi, Risé! What a nice report! I'm so glad Monet is doing well. I'm sure he knows and appreciates everything you did for him to go OTJ :-D . It sounds like Monet has been a good teacher for your vet! :-D

Thanks Josie! I have told my vet about FDMB / LL and offered my contact info for him to share with any of his diabetic Kitty owners. I would love to be able to help someone out with this and point them in the right direction (this board) !

Great to hear from you, Rise', and thrilling to hear Monet is still doing so well!

Not sure if I gave you this post to read at Monet's OTJ party, but if not, here it is. Morgan wrote it when D'Artagnan went OTJ - it's A Break-up Letter to D'Artagnan's Diabetes. I thought she captured so well what we go through in taking care of a diabetic cat. When you said that Monet is more affectionate now, that reminded me of this. You'll always have a special bond with him because of the care you gave him while he was diabetic.

Thanks for staying in touch!

Wonderful Monet report!! It sounds like you guys have inspired your vet, which is so awesome. And I bet he's so snuggly because he knows how much his awesome bean did for him because of her undeniable love for him. These kitties, they just know! Please stay in touch and keep us posted on how Monet is doing!!

Hi Rise!
