Morning ~O) Mags is dropping and already in the Green Lagoon. Yesterday I toyed with taking a reducie, as I had two below 50's, and asked for some thoughts and then decided to keep the dose. I was surprised by this drop, as I didn't even think I had the four drops measured corect. I did two below 50's before, and Mags held the dose. Maybe today is the day.
Thanks for all the visits after I logged off, and I responded in yesterday's condo. I responded in yesterday's condo.
Looking forward to some strong triple Espresso from Mannie kitteh Barista!

All five P's present today, with some healthy looking prezzies. :-D Detective Poo will be proud. Mags had the prezzies overnight as she loves her privacy. All those Miralax cocktails worked.

I had asked a question at the end of my yesterday's condo on the calipers as to whether it is necessary to use the Tuermos for the calipers. I don't mind the Monojects, as I find them easy to use and the price is right, but I know there is the cone issue. Thanks Wendy and Carla. I see that Wendy uses the BD's and Carla uses the Relion syringes, so good to know. (Maggie's Friday condo)

Have a nice day. I need to do a little cleaning and then see where the day evolves.

It looks like Maggie likes being in the lagoon. I hope she surfs there for a while today.

Excellent Maggie report today - hold that reducie, littler girl!

Have a great one, Ann!

Good Morning Ann & Maggie,

Already in the lagoon! The LagoonMeister hopes to be joining you later, Maggie!

With regard to the calipers, you can use them with any syringe, but since each brand of syringes has different proportions (the thickness of the barrel is different in each brand), you have to figure out your own settings. I switched from Monoject to Terumo because of the cone issue, but I think it can be compensated for. Just try to find a "perfect" one-- where the base of the needle comes all the way down the cone. Then you can have an idea of how much insulin might wind up in the cone in an "imperfect" one. Here's the URL to my drawing of a Monoject syringe:

And here is Marje's photo illustration of using the calipers with both a Monoject and a Terumo:

By the way, Terumo syringes at ADW are only $13.09 per box of 100 (31 gauge, 3/10cc, 3/8 inch needle, 1/2 unit markings)

Have a lovely day,

Ella & Rusty

Let's hope Mags keep on her green kini for the afternoon swim.

Thanks Amy and Carla for the visits and good wishes for a Maggie surf. It looks like a nice surf. I thought she might drop, but she had a good helping of Cowboy Cookout after the 74!!

Ella, many thanks for the info on the calipers and the illustration links from both you and Marje. The cost of the Terumo syringes are not bad at all, about the same as the MJ's. I am finding it more difficult measuring the four drops dose as sometimes the line is clear up to the top, but there are still four drops in the syringe.
Mags is hoping to see the LagoonMeister soon in the Lagoon.

Good Morning Ann

What a wonderful morning report for Miss Mags  ....already in the lagoon, and prezzies overnight.
What more could a mamabean ask for? :-D

Have a wonderful day, Ann

Re: 2/16 Maggie AMPS 187; +2.5 74; +4 82

Good morning Ann - nice to see greenies with Miss Mags! I wondered if you were going to take the plunge on the calipers and I hope it works out for you. We use them with the Terumo - it seems like everyone has figured out a method for many different syringes so hopefully you will too. 4 drops - that's a toughie! Have a great day!

Detective Poo here! Well, Miss Mags is on a roll: prezzies and a very solid swim in the lagoon.   Happy Caturday!

Miss Mags is off to a great start this Caturday. What a nice surf! Ella beat me to the Terumo price, it is $3 less than the monojects. The problem w/ the MJ syringes is that the needle isn't consistent in the cone so the cone can hold varying amount of insulin even if you get it the same in the barrel.

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O)
Auntie Ann - triple espresso it is! on my way!~~ Mannie, kitteh barista

I love Maggie's numbers these past few days - such great blues and so many greens. She is so clsoe to that dosecrease. I take it you decided to wait until she has three <50's?

Looks like the caliper question has been answered. I need to look into those too... i also have the monojets, know abut the cone issue. I'm lucky if I can even see that... you will have to let us know how you like working with the calipers. It seems they would be helpful when dealing with microdoses.

Enjoy our day today! How's that cleaning coming? I abandoned mine...

It looks like Mags has exited the Green Lagoon, but is planning on a return at the pm cycle! :-D

Thanks Barbs & Checkers. The prezzies always make me smile. It's a good thing she likes the bf, as it's an easy way to disguise it.

Detective Poo, thanks for stopping in for Poo Patrol. I wish I could take mags out on yard patrol. but she freaks at even a collar.

Hi Lisa, yes, taking the calipers plunge. So good to see you and Leo and meant to send you good luck and feel good vines for tomorrow's Half marathon. very impressive.

Hi Ann & Tess, yes I do notice quite often some insulin can get into the cone. Sometimes I am clear up to the line, and there are still 4 drops of insulin in the syringe.

Hi Michelle, I did decide to wait for a third below 50. I thought it might happen today, but Mags has such a healthy appy, she's bringing her self up no problem.
I'm not doing too good with the cleaning either, I only did the bathroom so far, and it's so nice outside, I may need to take a little Vit. D sunshine break. :-D
Mannie, thank you for the Triple Espresso, the best as always.
