Just means you go up again and hopefully now that his body has had a little time to adjust to coming down into lower numbers it will work better this time.
Just gotta keep hammering away at those numbers until they give ground and he has a breakthrough. There is also a chance if you keep going up and we can't find a breakthrough dose for him that Lantus just isn't the right insulin for him. Some do better on one insulin over another. Autumn and Musette both bounced like crazy on Lantus, yet were stable on Levemir. I've also seen cats that didn't do well on Prozinc but did on Lantus and vice versa. It truly is one of those every cat is different.
