Gob is doing okay today. Lots of morning kisses and he so sweetly got me some TP when I made my trek to the bathroom this morning (he's such a good boy and thoughtful)...LOL. He probably ate about the equivalent to 1/2 can FF this AM. He's sleeping now; really cute and so precious to my heart. I'm going to grab a shower and have a birthday party for a friend at 11 AM. His +6 is Noon, so I'll test him before I leave, which will be about +4.75. If he's low, I suppose I should feed him a little MC; we'll wait and see. There were a few moderate pee clumps in his "spot" in the LB, however, he shares his potty with 2 civvies and sometimes will intrude on their "spots" so that may not be accurate.

Morning Kat! Looks like Gobbles is bouncing off that blue yesterday but it's not bad. Hope the number comes down and you have a great day!

Re: 2/16 Gobbles AMPS 323

Hi Jo...I think he will! Thank goodness I finally listed to the experts here a few months back and started testing regularly. By looking at his SS, he's done the "nice AM" dip to the "bouncin' high PM" jump, for the last two days!!!

Happy to see, by looking at Scratchie's SS, that he woke up to sunshine and is feeling great! :RAHCAT Good luck with your dose increase :-D

Re: 2/16 Gobbles AMPS 323 +4 221 +7 161 ? puking OTC medici

Update: he's been picking at his food yesterday, and today. I just got home at AM +7 and he ate 1/2 can FF LC. He puked it all up 10 minutes later. What OTC medicine, can I give him for upset belly? Five minutes after puking, he looked hungry so I fed him about 1 oz. of filet mignon, raw, cut into small pieces. As of yet, no puking.

Re: 2/16 Gobbles AMPS 323 +4 221 +7 161 ? puking

Hi Kat, I can't offer any advice, but I give Kismet 1/4 tab of Pepcid AC when he has an upset tummy. Hope Gobby feels better soon.

Re: 2/16 Gobbles AMPS 323 +4 221 +7 161 ? puking

Sorry about the pukus, did he scarf the fuds up quickly when you got home? It could be that.

I don't know of an anti vomiting OTC med. There is Pepcid AC (not Pepcid Complete) but that is for nausea, not vomiting, If he ate again he probably isn't nauseous.

Thanks on the ceramics pix. It's something I just do for fun. The Board Photo Gallery apparently didn't get migrated, but it isn't urgent and Rebecca deserves a break. If you want to see more pix of Tess go to the ceramics pix and then click on my albums. she has her own there too.

Re: 2/16 Gobbles AMPS 323 +4 221 +7 161 ? puking

I does sound like he could have eaten too fast (and that caused a scarf and barf). My Ginger does that sometimes.
Normally, she takes teeny teeny bites, but every once in a while she eats to fast, and then up it all comes.

J.D. (because he has cronic pancreatitis), gets 1/4 Pepcid in the morning for acid tummy. If I don't give it to him, he'll throw up bile at about +11, but I thought that was because his tummy was empty and got acidy. Please correct me, if I am wrong. J.D. also gets 1/4 Ondansetron for nausea in the morning. Sometimes he seems hungry but only licks his lips and/or walks away from his dish after checking out what's being served, and that's a sign of nausea, so he gets Ondansetron for that.

I hope he just ate that +7 FF too fast.

Re: 2/16 Gobbles AMPS 323 +4 221 +7 161 ? puking

Sounds like scarf and barf. Or a furball (which might mean more puking later if he didnt get it up). I wouldnt worry about it unless he keeps doing it a lot over a few days.

Thanks Dyana. It sounds like he had a S&B episode as he ate fast and then ate right after that...

Thanks Wendy. S&B to be sure as he ate right after that, kept it down, and then at +11, ate more. He and I had a nice 2 hour nap....

Re: 2/16 Gobbles PMPS 322 ? ideal weight

What the computation for an ideal weight for cats? Gobby looks just about right to me at 12 pounds (12.4 today). His bone structure is a little bigger than average. His pre-diabetic weight was about 13.4 to 13.12, and he was overweight-looking. His weight has gone up and down in the past few weeks, from 12. 4 on 2/4/13,to 13 on 2/8/13, to 12.8 on 2/12/13, and back to 12.4 today. I realize that weight can vary from day to day.....the same in a cat than as in a human....
