Re: 2/15 Tipper AMPS 597

Good morning Patty

opps, your link doesn't work, so here it is Yesterday
sorry about the high AMPS. Do you add a bit of water to Tipper's food?
I'll check in on you later tonight, I saw on a previous thread that you may be able to do some spot checking tonite (it's tuesday!)
Take it easy and have a good day!

Re: 2/15 Tipper AMPS 597

Oh my ... tipper .. what the heck is going on? No wonder you are upset Patty .. Let's be positive that ketones have been negative and tipper still has a good appetite ... I know it's hard to see those things when the numbers are so high ... is tipper still feeling good other then the high numbers?

Re: 2/15 Tipper AMPS 597

So sorry to see that amps - I know how you feel - as we have been there too. Try not to be upset, things will get better. Hopefully this is just a bounce, and numbers will be better late on today.

hi Patty

I see you have one check in, hopefully he will make his way down to a more comfortable area.
how's he doing tonight? eating ok and things like that?

+4 would be ok, or +5

A +6 would be good so you're not up all night. Can you keep the string of test #s in your subject line? It will let us scan what's going on.

I'm glad you're getting the spot checks tonight. How about raising Tipper's dose by 0.25u tomorrow? Please keep getting spot checks when you can. Also, Tipper was on Clavamox. Can you remind me what that was for? We're wondering if there was an infection and if it's actually cleared given where Tipper's numbers are.

Patty....I noticed on your ss that Tipper was on Clavamox. Did he have an infection?
I am wondering if he did have an infection was he rechecked to see if it cleared. If not this may be the reason for the high numbers.

Tipper:

+2 473
+4 448
+6 395

She finished the Clavamox 2 days ago. It was a 14 day treatment. In addtion to feline herpes, she has had eye infections, ear infections and teeth issues. At her yearly exam when she was diagnosed her gums were inflamed and a root from a tooth that had broken off showed signs of infection. At her weight check the gum line was much better. I asked if she should stay on the clavamox and the vet said no. Asked about dental work, she said not at this time. Hope that helps.
