Well, Maggie seems back to normal, and I'm blaming her several vomits yesterday on a new label of Supreme Sophisticat Chopped grill and possibly just the one can. The one can she seemed to get sick on had some white flakes in it. I opened up another can from the same case, and it had none of these white speckles mixed in it. I wonder is it possible one can could be spoiled and not the others. I gave her maybe a tsp. of it, along with some Sophisticat Mixed Grill (no new label) and she ate both. She loves this Sophisticat Mixed Grill, and according to Janet & Binky's list has no carbs. I have a return call expected sometime in next few days according to Customer Service person who answered the phone. I have to make a trip to PetsMart, so hope Maggie doesn't decide to drop too low, as I only have the mornings to get things done as we have a huge parking problem here, and I have more energy in the mornings anyway.

Maggie says to tell all the birthday kitties she loved the party and thanks everyone for their good thoughts. Now when is the next party, ha, ha!

P.S. I only have about five ATrak strips left, as my Amazon order has not yet arrived, so I may have to use my Relion later! It might be nice to see how she looks with the Relion, huh, Pat!

glad the pukus is over with and Maggie is back to her old healthy self.
I wonder if somehow some air got into that one can? Hope that's all it is and nothing else was wrong with it.

Thanks Iorwen; I hope so, too, possibly just the one can. I hope to find some old labels chopped grill today. It's a relief to find her feeling better.

Maggie had all the kitties in hysterics last night when she was talking about her Mama Bean and all her meters!
Some of them were shaking their head with total understanding! Jazzy and Lucy among them btw!
Everyone gave her tons of sympathy with wishes that this meter fetish will pass at your house!

thanks for coming to the party last night Maggie. They all had a great time. I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better now. My two also really like the chopped grill feast....but I use the Fancy Feast one. Glad the other cans seem okay...

:lol: Dang, after I use the AT strips, I will only have two meters, and Libby & Lucy still have their 6 or 7 meters! You are too funny, Pat! Just wait, we will find something to get back at you! :lol:

Morning! I am so glad that Maggie is feeling better. perhaps it was that one can of food. Been there here too nice with a can of merrick. Seems to have only been that one can. weird... I am glad she is better today.

:lol: :lol: on the meters! I think libby's 6 or 7 wins.... Though I suspect we all have alot of them... guilty here too. :oops:

Hope your strips arrive - went though that with my last order... usually arrives within 3 days - this one took 8. :shock: :shock: times like these when I am glad I have more than one meter. :cool: :-D :shock: :lol: :-D :-D

Thanks Michelle for the good wishes for Maggie. So you've had a bad can, too, every once in a while. Yes, definitely Libby & Lucy win with the meters. My mail doesn't come until later in the day, so I may have enough strips or not!

I had to leave to buy some food for the Queen Maggie. I talked to a PetsMart employee about the new label, and she mentioned the same thing happened with the Salmon Fancy Feast. It just wasn't selling once they changed the ingredients. Maggie was starting to drop, so I left some gravy on top her food that she's not eating, and she's only 98 bg. Of course, later she her bg will go up!

Look at those beautiful numbers today Maggie!! I have run across a bad can or 2 in my day, but it wasnt all of them--Some can get a pinhole or a dent in the can & bacteria get in..That's what Purina said about FF can I had..Hasnt happened since then.
Glad Maggie is feeling better! BTW, I also have like 6 or 7 meters, (but not strips for most of them) and have tried most of them..Still like accu check aviva. My DH is diabetic, so they send them for free sometimes.

The 148 bg is from the gravy topping when I had to leave after the +3 check, still not bad. Well, my strips came in the mail, so I won't be needing my Relion afterall, but maybe I'll give it a tryout tomorrow just so it doesn't get rusty and not start. :lol:
 
Such beautiful number for Maggie again! Hope your amazon shipment gets to you soon! I had that happen with my last shipment from americandiabetes wholesale. Hope you don't have to dip into the Relion strips... but good that you have them, just in case!

Hi Ronnie, I'm disappointed, too, no Relion! Maybe 'll do a couple tests anyway tomorrow, just for comparison!
