It's been a straightforward morning so far....happy appy, snuggles, a nice drop into the lagoon. This morning's gelcap went smoothly, but last night's was a bit of a fiasco. I'm not quite sure what I did, but I definitely got it in a place that she didn't like on my second attempt...she didn't gag at all - just spit it out like she does when I mess up. But her demeanor immediately changed and she wanted nothing at all to do with it after that. So it did take a few breaks and one repack before I got it down. I don't know if I accidentally poked the roof of her mouth or what, but I felt bad. She's so good about getting them down, as long as I don't screw up like that.
The big news is....we are officially done with banana meds - Wahoooooo

(we need our party cat emoticon back!)!!!! For me, it's a mixed bag of
and
...I just hope we ran a long enough course to totally knock out whatever it was that was affecting her. Trix, however, is probably doing cartwheels! Now I need to scour the house for banana med splatters - she always shook her head right after, so there are splotches everywhere. I got what I saw at the immediate moment, but some definitely escaped me. I didn't see a point in hunting them all down until we were completely done, though. We rerun her BW in just over a week to double-check things.
I believe my brother and his wife arrive in Hawaii today. They are meeting up with my parents, who are returning to the frozen tundra of NJ early Monday afternoon (they're taking the redeye).
We're not going to get slammed with the actual next huge storm that is moving through the northeast, but we are going to get the high winds and arctic blast. Unfortunately, I do have to work tomorrow, so I'll have to venture out in it
...
I'm off today...time for some chores, and hanging out with DH and the kitties. Happy Valentine's Day, L&LL...enjoy all your valentine's - furry four-footed ones and the human version, too!
