Hi everybody. Happy Valentine's Day! It's been a couple of weeks since I last posted. The main reason that I haven't is that I've been quite sick with a respiratory issue. I'm finally starting to feel better. I'm still pretty drained though. Part of it I'm sure has been stress related. The old body can only take so much before it says that's it you need to rest whether you want to or not.
Missy Kitty continues to do well. She never ceases to amaze me. She just keeps going and going like an energizer bunny. I brought her dose up yesterday to 2 units. There was just too much yellows going on and very little blues and hardly ever any greens. I probably should have done it sooner but I just didn't feel comfortable changing when I felt so lousy. Already she is showing some greens so I'm pleased. She's eating well and doing all the the things that a happy little kitty should be doing. Next week she is due for her chemo. Not looking forward to it. I always get so nervous that Doug will find something that I don't want him to find. It's just natural I guess.
For those of you who are following the situation with my son here is a bit of an update. He saw the nephrologist who is quite concerned about his kidney function. He has ordered a bunch of test which of course take forever to get done. He took him off all his meds until he knows what is happening. So he is left with no meds and a lot of pain. The doc was really nice and very concerned about Daniel. He meant well but he said at one point. "My God kid you're like a seventy year old man." Tomorrow he is going to Calgary to see the opthlamologist who specializes in connective tissue disorders. He hasn't had any problems with his vision so far but the doc from the Connective Tissue Disorder Clinic wants him seen by the this guy to help get the proper diagnosis. We already know that if he does have a problem with his eyes it can cause him to go blind. Please keep him in your prayers tomorrow as he travels down there and that things go well. I just can't stand the thought of being told one more lousy thing. I couldn't get the time off work to go with him so a friend is taking him.
So tonight the kitties are having a big party. Happy birthday to all the birthday kitties. Tori has been busy getting ready and is just about to head out the door. She's so excited. I told her how the kitchen crew is planning to bake one of their famous cinnamon birthday cakes. That was first served at Tori's birthday last summer. I know they will all love it and will have a great time. Party on kitties!
