Since I lost 2 previous posts, here are the numbers:

We had an early visit to the vet today, she's breathing little bit heavy and tomorrow and day after is her doctor day off, so I though its better to go today cuz otherwise I'll be waiting until sunday. we had an X-ray but spuriously fluid we're less than the last time so I didn't know why is the breathing going heavy. doctor spotted some small dot's in x-ray and she said it's some kind of infection ( I don't remember the name, "something-rose or rosy".. not sure) :oops: she's spanish and she speaks really fast hahah, anyway its that thing causing her breathing this way since water has lessened she suggested to give Noni Medrol 4mg 1/4 tablet a day and to be given at night. she said this might have little effect on her BG but the does is really small so she hopes not ! she told me to try it tonight and if everything went well I can continue using for 10 days, she said its cortisone and it will help her breathing, also the side effects its less on cats than humans. so lets hope for a good BG , and later on she might lower lasix too if Medrol works.

pumpkin seem to work fine with Noni, stool is less already, doctor said it doesn't look so hard.

we're also gaining little weight thank God ! she is 7 LB :thumbup , she seems more herself today and yesterday with the help or syringe water she finally letting the fountain alone for sometime. her doctor told me she needs 5 ml syringes x12 times a day means a total of 60ml a day.

Doctor also had a good news to tell me, the found cure for diabetes in animals and 6 dogs are cured now in Barcelona ! I was so happy to hear that ,, can't wait until its office and hope they bring it to us soon or else I'd fly to Barcelona with her :lol:


hope I didn't forget to mention anything she said.. I'm half sleepy I woke up early this morning and decided to take her to the vet after seeing her breathing.

I hope the Medrol helps clear up the infection so she can breathe easier. Hopefully it won't affect her BG. I hope Noni keeps sliding down for you today.

Morning Aseel,
I'm glad to hear Noni has less fluid and is gaining weight. Rats that she has an infection and she has to have cortisone. I hope it doesn't affect her BGs and clears up the infection fast. I hope she keeps coming down for you today! Hugs to you and scritches to Noni.

That sounds like a pretty good vet report. I hope the new meds help her breathing.

Hope the meds work for the breathing and get that cleared up.
I wonder if there is a study or report somewhere about the Barcelona dogs.
Poor dogs with diabetes don't have a chance.... some positive research would be good news.

Hi Aseel. Glad to see that Noni had an overall good vet report. Sorry to hear of her infection but at least now that it is identified you can treat it. Happy the syringe water administration is working for her and hope for her continued improvement. She gave you a nice Valentine's Day gift with the weight gain.

Awww......sweet, sweet pics of Noni! Nice report on her, too. You're taking such good care of her, and she's a very lucky kitty. Happy Valentine's Day a little late to you and Noni.
