Lola, Queen on the roost, and Co CEO of Paw Prints Pizza...

I hope everyone had a great week. ;) The days with the boys have been good ones! We have been very busy, that part of life has not changed. Will it ever? ;) NOPE!! :):):)   I am so glad it hasn't! I just can't imagine not being on the go. :) It keeps us out of trouble! I often think back on the weeks happenings, and wonder how in the world did we do all that! :woot: It was the same this past week. We just seem to pick up and go each day, no questions asked, not by me or the boys, or the people I interact with on a daily basis. I am grateful for all those that help us on a daily basis, including my local barista! It cracks me up when I walk in that door and my order is already in the works. Life is very good!

Swimming continues to be an integral part of my life, and the boys. I am grateful for this time, as it has become such a bonding experience for all of us. Wednesday was family swim day, as my DD, aka Nicholas and William's mom had taken the day off. :):):):):cool::cool::cool: The boys had dental check-ups first off in the morning, so I went with them to help out with the boys if I could. Check out their dental visit! This place is a really well done Pediatric Dentistry. Both boys had a good check-up, and liked their visit. It was William's fist visit. He did remarkably well, and Nicholas watched the whole time, making sure William was OK. That was so cute.:joyful: Anyways... that was Wednesday morning. We all went swimming after that. Swim time was a blast. We got there about 10:30, stayed til 1:30. :woot::woot::woot::woot:Neither of them, including mom, wanted to leave. It sure was fun. It is amazing that William lasted all that time, skipped a nap, late on lunch, and he really didn't care. Fatigue got to him near the end. Even Nicholas crashed on the way home. Had to laugh at Erin, even she was wiped. :p We did everything, and then some. Mom and Nicholas did the huge tube slides that the pool has, Nicholas just loves those things. well anyways, hugely fun time in the pool. Nicholas really does love the pool time, and would stay till the cows come home if he could. I suspect that William will be the same. :woot: Granted there are times when both of them come and tell me they are done. Nice that they know when the fuel cells are empty. Nicholas is still saying no to lessons, but I am continuing to try a different approach to getting him involved with swim classes. When we go they are wrapping up lesson time at the pool so we sit and watch some of what they do, and talk about what he sees. This seems to have cut the ice some. I don't think he is afraid of class, I just think he really likes things the way they are, and why change it. Kids can be such creatures of habit: shake up the routine and they can be unhappy campers. So... we will keep plugging away at swim class, and hope fully get him enrolled by summer. :)William continues to love going. He too is so excited when he realizes he is headed off to the pool. He does all kinds of things there, doesn't mind being under water, loves the slides and the water cannon and geysers. So we continue to go, alternating pools between the Lynnwood Aquatic Center, and the Snohomish Aquatic Center. We are very fortunate to have such wonderful Aquatic facilities here too. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Night were out swimming days this week. :joyful::joyful::joyful:

Fun rules at the pool!

The boys and I continue to be very busy. :joyful: Our weather has dictated alot of what we do, and even with that we still have great times. We have come up with a great list of indoor places, and this week we used them when we needed too, when the weather was questionable, mainly in the mornings. We did get a weather break on Thursday afternoon :), so off to Juanita Beach for us. We actually got some sun.:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool: The boys had such a great time on the beach, just playing in the sand. We feed the ducks too. One just has to spend time with the ducks! Friday was spent at the Imagine Childrens Museum. :woot: It was a bit cooler that day, fog was everywhere in the morning, so indoors for a few. Nicholas has been asking to go back to this place so figured why not. Half the time they were topside in their outdoor play area anyways. Nicholas hooked up with a couple of kids while there so he played with them most of the time, which freed me up to help William with all he wanted to do. He did his first tube slide there, a very short one, but he didn't care. Mission accomplished in his book. It was a good time for him, good time for them both. They have indeed been busy days. I love that fact the they enjoy being out as much, and staying busy and enjoying what they encounter where ever they are. The beach presented endless opportunities to build damns and rivers and toss rocks. The pool gave them time with their mom, with all that endless water fun. The museum let them learn and explore. It has been a great week. :joyful:

Nicholas & William: Bring on the sand, and the water, and all that awesome Fun!

As busy as these boys are, and me included, we still try and find time for family, and just being at home, enjoying each others company. :joyful: I continue to enjoy the mornings here, before we head on out for the days adventure. Whether it be William's joy at building with blocks, or his playing with a discarded Starbucks coffee cup, or the two of them just enjoying blanket time while waiting for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to start. They are good fun times just at home. The Friday Night Burger Feast for Nicholas, after his swim session at the Snohomish pool, will be always on the highlight list. He looks forward to this every week, starts asking about it on Wednesday when he first sees me. He just LOVES those cheeseburgers with extra pickles! :woot:

Waiting for Mickey Mouse....

For my own personal time, I have been hiking the local trails here when I can. I hope in the near future to have a day to visit the mountains and get in at east one snow hike before winter's end. Paws crossed. LOL, wrote that last week, the week before and still haven't been able to make it. I had hoped to go Tuesday, but ... the weather was AWFUL... maybe this week! I've been Doing the local trails here at Meadowdale when I can. Tuesday I took at chance and went to Bellingham, to visit Whatcom Falls. The weather gurus said that it was the most favorable place for a no rain day, so off I went. I had wanted to see the Falls anyways, just to check on conditions, and see if it was ready for the boys or not. It has been a fave of Nicholas's in the past, and I'd really like to try and get them up there again this year. The place is very kid friendly, and has lots of "secluded" areas on the creek where they can pretend to be out in the wilderness, until we can actually make those trips this summer. And the verdict? Creek levels need to come down some before we will go. Most of those shoreline sots were still under water! Well duh I guess: we have had record rains....:rolleyes::smuggrin: Soon guys, soon!

Whatcom Falls

Normalcy in MusketeerVille :cat::cat::cat::cat: How cool to be able to day that. :joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful: Elsa is dong well. She is eating better since I have been trying to get more food in here get some weight back on her, it is a slow process, but seems to be working, I think too that she really likes the individual attention. She is bored with this wet weather. Friday afternoon it was warm and decent enough once the fogs lifted, so she decided an outing was in order. Darn cat stayed out 4 hours! :arghh::confused::cool::cat::cat::cat: She was one happy kitty! At least she no longer wanders in her old age, we can always see her,. so I don't worry too much. Well, just a little. ;) Bug is doing great! He is such a love bug, and so reminds me of Mannie. They do/did so many things the same. I have a fleece blanket that I use in the evening when I am unwinding on my sofa, watching TV, reading, etc. He just loves that thing, and as soon as I have it out, he is on top of it, making biscuit after biscuit. And the purrs! I love that time. He still contiues to use Mannie's beds, and recently has taken on the role of nanner protector. WHOA! Could be be developing another Nanner king? Time will tell, and stayed tuned.... Lola is, well... Lola. She is still my early morning lap warmer as I work on the computer. She never misses, curls up, purrs the morning away. I love that time when she is "normal":joyful::joyful::p:cat::cat::cat::woot: and the rest of the day? still chasing her tail :woot:, still walking my high off the ground railing, :nailbiting:, still riding my frig door , still ripping up and left out paper , still pounding any glass type surfaces o_O, still eating and ripping up my plants  . Lola is... well, Lola. She really is, in all seriousness, a joy to care for. She makes life fun. I wrote this last week, but it is just the way things are here: Elsa grounds it in reality. Bug adds that element of comfort and reassurance. :joyful: For this week: a for sure on that normalcy in MusketeerVille. :cat::cat::cat:
and for fun.... Lola decided one day she wnated to help be clean....

one cannot forget Mannie and Nicholas either....

Have a great Caturday everyone! Today has been catchup day here. Shopping and laundry done, and just being a little lazy. I hope to get out for a walk after I post this, for some fresh, though wet, air, and to exercise the legs some. It has been a day of drizzle and fog since the start of the day. I wonder if it will even break today... they promised sun. oh hahahahahahaha! o_O:woot:

KITTIES!! Remember: BLUE, think GREEN :cat:

I need to write all these places down....

Oh Michelle, I am still chuckling at Lola taking a ride on the cleaning lady's mop!! :joyful::joyful::joyful: And who could not love Mannie patiently stealing Nicholas's snackus(or are those Chicken Pure Bites??) We love Whatcom Falls too, and often you can catch a break and the weather is actually better up North! No surprise the rivers were at flood stage last week though, been abnormally warm as well as wet...:rolleyes:
As always, love your pictures- that one of Lola- what a character she is!! Love the ones of Nicholas and William at the dentist as well- notice how happy Nicholas looks when it is William in the chair LOL! Happy Valentines Day- hope you enjoyed our nice weather yesterday and today :joyful::joyful:

@rhiannon and shadow Hi Rhiannon! THX for the visit! They are growing so fast. Where does time go! Me too on those waterfalls! They will get me every time!

@Tiger and Ruth Hi Ruth! I had forgotten about that vid with Lola and the mop, found it when I went looking for one to post for today. I still remember that - she loves(d) to ride on the mop. Silly cat! She used to, not any more though, sit on the head of the vacuum too. Yupp on Mannie and Nicholas: that was cubed chicken, Nicholas loved it when he was little, well Mannie did too! DUH, and never missed one of Nicholas's lunches. He also liked the corn. Thankfully enough those few nibbles never seems to spike his BG. :) Isn't Whatcom Falls great? I love the place and will hike allover the trails there, makes for a great adventure when I can't get anywhere else. Sure is nice to head north and find abetter weather system! I kow on that dental visit! That was fun. oh yes on Nicholas!

@Vyktors Mum Hi Serryn :):coffee: She is such a character! Sure makes life interesting here! :joyful:

I love the videos. Lola is so funny. I'm glad the kitties are doing well. So cute how excited Nicholas was that Mannie shared his food. I'm glad the boys' dental visits went well.

Hi Michelle,
Whatcom Falls is fantastic! So glad you got out that day. Lola's portrait is great: what a beautiful kitty she is; her fur is so soft-looking.
I loved the videos. Lola riding the mop! Mannie walks away and leaves the blueberry!!

The pool days looked like great fun, as always.

I hope your weather will permit you to get out for a mountain hike this week. Our weather is frigid. Tonight is supposed to be the coldest night of the year (and we have had some cold ones!).

Enjoy a relaxing weekend (or a less relaxing one, with a hike or two).

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. to Elsa: keep that wonderful coffee coming. It is SO GOOD!

Good Morning LL! :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee: (YUM! I Love coffee!), and Happy Sunday!

LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! Coffee is on, Lola and Bug , founders of Paw Prints Pizza, are ready to go! Want pizza? it is MEGA GOOD! so... well... Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espressos, with beans from Starbucks Pike Place Market, their original blend, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a venti quad peppermint white chocolate mocha, with peppermint infused whip, garnished with peppermint candy chips and white chocolate shavings. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of mint and vanilla and cimmamum swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with peppermint chips and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! They are busy getting ready for.... uh.... I dunno! but there sure is a flurry of activity in the kitchen. [/I]

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.it has been a mellow one here, but productive too, AND (!!) with some out and about too. I was able to get the normal Caturday errands and chores done by noon, so spent the afternoon down at Meadowdale. The weather here has been fairly decent. so... off to the shore for me. Problem was that it seemed that everyone else had the same idea! it was very busy there... so many people! I ended up leaving after a bit, and spending the rest of the time hiking the woods. I enjoy the woods here. With the warmer weather things are beginning to bud, making the woods a fun place to explore. I also took some time on the way home to see how the local flower population was doing. NICE! We have some spring flowers! :) in the middle of February.... crazy, but no complaints! :woot: With clear skies this morning I thought a morning walking the beach at Picnic Point would be nice. it was. We had a morning sunrise of subtle pinks and lavenders, so pretty!

Picnic Point at Sunrise

Kitties are doing well this morning. it is sunny out, and all of them are glued to the window, or sunning their fur in the sunbeams. That always makes me smile, as it was a Mannie given. He was such a master at finding any and all sunbeams. It has been a good morning for the kitties here.
one cool dude.jpg

Mannie... enjoying those sunbeams!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday LL. I expect to do a little yard clean up work, maybe spend a little time getting things ready for tax time. UGH, is that really coming???? Then again maybe I won 't :woot:and go for another walk instead. That sounds like a much better idea!

@Anne & Zener (GA) Hi Anne and Liz :coffee::coffee::coffee: Lola thinks she is rather regal too! ;) Those vids are such fun to back and see again. I had forgotten about the Lola one... :joyful:

@carfurby Hi Carla :coffee::coffee::coffee: Thanks on the vids, they are fun for me too. Lola is such a fun cat, always doing things like this. And Mannie and Nicholas? What great memories! They always had lunch together, and shared fuds. I had to watch though, just so Mannie didn't' get too many BG no no fuds... ME TOO on the dental visits!

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) Hi Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee: I missed your post... sorry! Guess we hit post at the same time. ;) I like Whatcom Falls! It is a great urban hike , and viewing attraction all rolled into one. Love the fact too that you can find "secluded" places to access the creek shoreline, the boys LOVE that part. It is alot of fun for them. I agree on Lola, she rally is a beauty, and has such great fur, very soft fur. Now if she would only tolerate the brushing better! When I looked at the Mannie and Nicholas video I wondered if anyone would remember that he alwyas left the blueberry. :woot::woot::woot: Only once did Nicholas get him to eat one. Too funny!!! I keep hoping on the mountain hike, at least a visit if nothing else. Every time I think I can go something has come up, or the weather says no way... well, maybe this week. If not, we make due with what we do have. Your weatehr there looks FRIGID! I have seen a few videos of Maine and Massachusetts. That is so intense, scary at times. I so hope you guys get a break soon!

I love the multi-colored toes that Lola has. It goes so well with her hair color.
And, I love the picture of Mannie in his shades. Oh my, I can't believe the pretty spring flowers you have already.

@Dyana Hi Dyana! :coffee::coffee::coffee: THX for the visit. Me too on Lola, she is such a gorgeous cat in more ways than one. Those multicolored toe pads we an added bonus. :) I have always found that photo MJ did of Mannie with his shades to be my fave photo of him. It just captures so much of what he was. A fun sun-loving furkid. I can hardly believe that we have so many things starting to bloom here. It is crazy, what with it being only Mid-February! We are about 10 degrees warmer than we should be, and we just never really has much of a winter...

Lola and Bug...mama says there's something called "snow" coming and that we need to "batten down the hatches" (whatever that means) but I think it means that I should order my pizza's early, so I'd like delivery of 4 large Catnip pizzas (extra nip) and 3 large NY Style Hot dog pies (extra NY....LOL) I think that'll get me through whatever this stuff is ~China

Oh yeah...what's the delivery charge? And do I need to tip the delivery driver? ~ China

Love to look at all your great pictures Michelle (as usual) and the video of Lola riding the mop is hilarious!! What a help she is around the house! Of course the Nicholas and Mannie videos are always such fun to watch. They sure did have a very special and close relationship that's just wonderful to watch!

Enjoy your walk if you decide to get out...definitely sounds like more fun than yard clean up and taxes!

@Chris & China Hi Chris! :):coffee: THX for the visit! Thanks so much on the photos, just something I like doing, Probably take too many, but oh well. I am glad that people enjoy them. :) LOL on Lola. She is such a crazy fun girl. Always into something, and if it moves, look out! . She looks so sweet while she sleeps too, who would suspect what lurks beneath all that calm an d mild demeanor. :woot: Thx too on Mannie and Nicholas. They truly were the best of buds.Mannie just loved him, and nicholas never eve missed a beat with him, made sure he played with him ever day he was here. what a pair ! I did get out, it did beat the yard work and taxes! :joyful: The day was too sunny not to be outdoors!

China! AWESOME!! We will have that order up rights away, with extras too! We can't have you starving during a snow storm. That would not be good! Snow is FUNS! We will have to show you when we gets there. No worries, we gots scarves and hats and mittens and boots and everythings! Our bean says we have to be goods though, cuz you are getting lot of snow, so we gots to be careful. We guess that means we can't go snowboarding... My bean say batten down the hatches too. I still do not now what that means. See ya soon! Lola, and Bug, Co-CEO's Paw Prints Pizza. :cat: OH! almsot forget! no delviery charge! And no tips either! well..... maybe we can share a slice of pizza, that would be so cool.
