Hi Everyone again,

Rusty decided not to surf green today, it appears! Perhaps he missed his play time (Edward wasn't feeling well and didn't play with him today). Perhaps he missed me. Perhaps Edward gave him too much FF T&G at lunchtime (he says he only gave a teaspoon). Perhaps it was a fur shot this morning (didn't seem so). Perhaps he's a cat. Yep, that's it! Anyway we had a nice late afternoon and a good dinner and good shot. Maybe he'll get to the lagoon tomorrow.

My snowshoe hike was beautiful. There were 5 of us women: 3 on skis and 2 of us on snowshoes. We began at a large pond that is the start of the "6 Carries" canoe trip and walked across it on the ice in howling wind (in our faces) to the first carry (portage). We walked the carry through the woods, about 1/2 mile (it was nice not to be carrying a canoe!), to the next pond. Then out on the ice again about a mile to a lean-to on the shore, where we had lunch and then continued the trip on ski trails through the woods and eventually back to the start. 7 miles in all. The snow was the best it has been all winter. I wish I had done it on skis, but my friend has an achilles injury and is not allowed to ski yet, so we have been snowshoeing.
Here are some pics. Everyone have a good evening,

Ella & Rusty

Wow, sounds like a really great snowshoe hike and fun time with your friends. Seven miles is very impressive under those conditions. Great pictures of the gorgeous scenery. Rusty's numbers are still really good; I think it's probably just being a cat with the higher than usual numbers. Of course, maybe the FF T & G, too. :-D
Yes, I did get my walk in even with some light showers; it felt so good. Have a good night.

Those are beautiful shots, Ella. It sounds great except for the "howling wind in your faces" part. I hope Edward is feeling better soon.

Hopefully Rusty will be in green tomorrow. I hope Edward feels better.

Your day sounds wonderful and the pics are gorgeous. I can't imagine seven miles by snowshoe with wind

Hope you all have a great evening.

Oh boy! Boys home alone today?!?! I hope they didn't trash the place while you were gone  Gorgeous pictures of your snowshoe today.

Rusty's numbers look good today, even if he didn't dip his toes into the green lagoon. I hope Edward feels better and everyone has a wonderful evening.
