PM cycle recap:
PMPS 307 and shot 1.7u (didn't shoot 1.7u before due to thinking reading odd from previous PMPS)
Poopy did not eat well, showing signs of being tired of same ole food, and shot already given so tried different things to get him to eat. Sprinkled crushed freeze dried chicken on food. Civvie then ate but not Poop. Opened a 5.5 oz. can of Sophisticat's SD Beef & Chicken at 7% carbs and Poopy pigged out. Whew!

Figured Poopy was stable with 1 1/2 hours at same BG, had food out, so called it a night.

AMPS 336 and fed a different flavor at 4% carbs (same carbs as what he's been eating prior). Shot 1.6u due to being back on 4% carbs and not liking the higher PS numbers. Hoping he settles back down. Thinking may need to drop back on sliding scale to 250-300 being 1.5u but will hold the 1.6 this week for a clearer picture.

Thoughts?
 
sounds like it is working.

Sneakers doesn't always eat her chicken mix so now I cut it with an oz of FF or Friskies. she eats it so much more that way and the poop doesn't smell as bad as straight canned :oops: .

Now that she is approaching lower numbers- her +11 from PM was 206! Watch her get to those sliding scale numbers just in time for me to head out of town!
 
Looking good, Teresa. 1.6 sounds fine. If it stops your progress, you can always go back up. That was almost a perfect cycle.. One of the nice things about the scale is that it can be easily adjusted up or down.

Hope the nice numbers continue
 
The sliding scale seems to have helped even the Poop out for almost consistent dosing, where consistent dosing before the scale he was a bit wobbly with his numbers.

I think having the same carb foods helped tremendously to even him out ...just the kitties were getting fed up with no variety.

Am thinking if I stick with the same carbs but a variety of flavors, Poop may yet reach great numbers across the board. I'd love to see Mr. P kick in, but just don't see that happening in Poop's future. (I'm still going to hope, and do the mid-cycle tests to be sure.) Still not sure if 1.5u or 1.6u is best for the 250-300 slot. Was getting lower numbers with the 1.5u. Will see how this week goes. :-D
 
I've got Ruby down to 2 flavors of FF. They're pretty much the same carb wise, I think.

How long did it take Poop to settle into the sliding doses?
 
I believe I started the sliding scale 1/29, but still had him on a variety of different carb level foods. His numbers were wobbly.

On 2/5 I started the same food diet and he settled, but PSs were still not below 250 so I upped the scale on 2/10 (changed the 250-300 from 1.5u to 1.6u) hoping to see lower PSs and lower numbers across the board. Of course, then the kitties decided they were tired of the same old food and here we are! :smile: Overall, his numbers have been better with the 1.5u on 250-300 but we shall see what this week brings. :smile:

Weird. Poop was getting better numbers, overall, on 1.5u. Upping to 1.6u has his PSs higher and no real drop in cycle numbers from the 1.5u numbers. The 1.7u last night was quite a drop from 307 to 96 (69% drop) and didn't bring a nice Ps either.

Stuck with 1.6u (didn't do sliding scale to 1.7u again) for the shot to see what we shall see.
 
I am thinking the 1.7 was nice and the next higher preshot could have been a little bounce from the green? If your 1.6 doesn't work tonight, I would consider the 1.7 tomorrow.
