Good Morning LL

This morning is so goofy, it didn't even make sense, when I reread my condo post.
I did Check's +2 twice because the number was the same as amps, and it took so long to log it in his journal, that I thought I hadn't done the test yet. Oh well, second one was nicer by 4 points
Had to stop mid-condo, to 'bottom-bathe' Clancy....I think he got into Tux's Miralax food, last night. :YMSIGH:

Checks ate well today. Hope his numbers lower a little, to show off for Dr Dave.
He has BW recheck this afternoon, for hyperT.
I'm so confused about that. He has no symptoms, except weight loss, and I noticed yesterday, shedding.

Shouldn't he be hyperactive....hyperhungry? He acts just the same as he always has.

Hi Barb. I've had to recheck the meter many times due to a loss of memory. Thank goodness the meters have a memory. Glad Checkers has his appetite. Hope his vet visit today goes well.

Have a great day.

Hi Barb,

Sending good vetty vines for Checkers' re-check this afternoon. There are many symptoms of hyper-T and cats rarely have them all, as I understand it. The excessive shedding is a symptom. Stu used to actually pull out his fur. Is Checks doing that? Anyway, maybe Dr. Dave will give you some answers.

Check back with you later,

Hugs,

Ella & Rusty

Morning Barb, sending lots of good Vetty vines for Checkers's Vetty visit. Oh poor Tux and the bottom bath, was he the one that had constipation prior time! Hope all goes well and will look for update later.

Oh goody.....one hour to leave for vet....Checks will be blue!! He probably won't make green, but who knows..
 ..he's a cat

Thank you for good vetty vines, everyone. :-D

Ann, Tux is the one with constipation, but it was long-haired britches, Clancy, that needed the butt bath. Blech!!! I think he may have shared Tux's Miralax yesterday.

Ella, Checkers doesn't pull out his hair, I see it on the bathroom sink..his is a different shade of grey than mine.

Good one! It is the season for shedding though. I just got handfulls from both Tess and Emma and the fur is every where!

Paws crossed for the vetty check! KTSS is sure to come by, they are waiting on Rusty's radiators!

Re: 2/13 Checkers amps 338 +2/324+3/266+4.5/199 Vet Today!

Sending good vetty vines to you and Checks!!! Mario had virtually now actual visible symptoms of HyperT, especially when he was first diagnosed. After time, his weight did decline, despite being controlled. But, he wasn't ravenous, didn't barf, didn't have the runs, wasn't all wound up...none of it. However, he DID have high BP, which is connected to the HyperT, so I would definitely have Checks' BP checked when you can.

On the other hand, my first GA civvie, Mr Kitty, had just about everh classic hyperT symptom out there...couldn't eat enough and ALWAYS wanted more, lost a lot of weight despite eating a ton, was crazed and aggressive at times, yowled, ran around like crazy, had diarhea...you name it. Definitely ECID.

I hope you guys had an uneventful visit!

Re: 2/13 Checkers amps 338 +2/324+3/266+4.5/199 Vet Today!

This is one happy bean!! :-D
Checks's weight rose a whole 4 oz, but I'm pretending I don't know he had a full bladder

His TT4, went from 6.1 on Feb 13, to 2.8 today. :RAHCAT We're keeping him on 5mg Tapazole
We did not do bp today, because Checkers was not happy, and there was no urgency to do it, since his bw was good.

I forgot to check his bg when we got home. Bad mom. I was too interested in watching the new Pope.
Now he's eaten, so I'll check later.

Thank you for well wishes. :-D

Re: 2/13 Checkers amps 338 +2/324+3/266+4.5/199 Good Vet Vis

Yeah for good vetty visit!! Nice of Checkers to show off the blues for the vetty. I'm sure some of Checker's weight gain was real and not about to be peed off.

Re: 2/13 Checkers amps 338 +2/324+3/266+4.5/199 Good Vet Vis

What a great report!
Good job, Checkers!

(My other pets getting into Ripley's food is one of my biggest fears ~ her food is loaded with anti-constipation remedies!)

Re: 2/13 Checkers amps 338 +2/324+3/266+4.5/199 Good Vet Vis

Hi Barb,

I'm so glad to hear about Checker's good vet visit. Yay! Y!!! Those are the best. They make the whole day happy.
I can't tell you anything about thyroid problems in cats either but I can tell you that Racci is burying me in fur, she's shedding so much!!! I cant believe how much she is shedding! I brush her twice a day and she still has the carpet covered with fur a few minutes after vacuuming! You're not alone on that one.

I feell for you for that half bath on long fur that then has to be brushed. Its a job, I especially hate it when Racci makes me a mess first thing in the morning when I havent even brushed my teeth yet! Ugh!

Give the furkids hugs for me.
Hugs,
Melanie & Racci

Re: 2/13 Checkers pmps 318

That's great Checkers had a good vetty visit and the T4 showed normal results. It sounds like you have a good dose of the Tapazole for Checkers. I hope he clears the bounce soon.
