Good morning! It is cold here (finally!), coldest it's been all winter. I can't wait for the snow!

I think the baddies are gone- she has been in the pinks and yellows for a cycle now- despite a possible fur shot (and another this morning :-x ) . I put it in more parallel so she doesn't squeak that it hurts and I miss sometimes...

other than that she is eating well and tests well :-D

Thanks for missing us.

I'll try and send any snow we get your way. :-D I so dislike snow and can't wait to move south after I retire!

Since I moved to the u100 syringes with the shorter needles, I'm having to be much more aware if it's in or not. I've been lucky so far to not have a fur shot, but I've come darn close quite a few times - especially if he shifts. I usually give Poopy his shot while his face is in his food bowl - but that's when he shifts the most. I have more control when I have him on my lap for the shot. I use the lower portion of my thumb as a guide (he has medium length fur so I can't see the skin - too fluffy!) of where to stick the needle in the tent. Have you noticed differences of when/where you shoot and fur shots? Any variables you can remove?

Theresa-

I do need to get some 100u needles. I've got some sewing projects coming due so will purchase then. I used to feel for the resistance of the skin but at the angle I am not really feeling it and shoot thinking I have gone through the skin. I feel like such a bad mamma bean when she squeaks to let me know it hurts. I thought I felt the resistance this morning and shot but i think I moved it before all of it was out. I think she did get some into her system- just not all. Today's wet spot was a less than yesterdays- which was a TOTAL miss. But I did nice AMPS in spite of that so that makes me think the extra carbs are gone and the new cycle has started... yet again  .

Sue-

Until I started adding it up last night I realized it was actually Hamburger Helper sauce, milk and ranch dressing (she WILL fight me on this one tooth and claw :!: ).

Very nice AMPS.

It's been a very strange winter here too. It's been much warmer and what little snow falls it melts within a few days.

You will need to have a stern talk with her. "Hamburger Helper, ranch dressing and milk are people food, and you, Sneakers, are a cat!"

Ever since Poopy joined my family he has always had at least one bite of my food. Always. When he was diagnosed, it was one of the heartbreaker things I had to do - stop sharing my food with the Poop (except for the occasional bite of meat - after I've finished and all animals get a bite). He's gotten much better about not asking, although when something interests him in particular he can be rather demanding with his not quite begging but insistent he should have a bite or two. When he gets insistent, I go ahead and test him so he can have his very own chunk of raw chicken. He forgets about wanting my food, being busy with his chicken. :-D

A weird tidbit - Poopy loves green olives! I wonder if there's any carbs in olives?
