How are you testing him, with the device or free hand, and where on the ear? There is no reason why you can't test on both ears. Also, is there a 'reward' for each poke, and if not, why not? If so, then get some better treats!

You can do a test every 2hrs one curve and then every 3hrs on the next curve. By staggering your test times, you gather more info along the curve line. For example, just because your +6 is lower than +3 and +9, you could find out that there are lower numbers say around +5 or +8, so staggering your test times, you can get a more complete picture.

I do alternate ears and give a treat after each one. He loves his treats! Today he is getting bits of steak from last nights dinner. cat_pet_icon
