Checking in! Oberon's been doing ok; BG numbers are doing the usual dance. We could probably be a bit more aggressive about increases, but I just don't trust his gut absorption to be able to handle getting carbs into him quickly if he drops low. Maybe overly cautious, but better than the alternative.

Lymphoma treatments have been bumped up to every three weeks; so far so good. Bloodwork is normal and weight is pretty stable. He's still on the metronidazole. Every time we miss a dose (he spat it out twice now without me noticing), the poop situation gets messy again. The vet recommended Pro-Pectalin, so we're trying that as well.

In other news, he has apparently just realized that people food (chicken, ham, etc.) comes from the fridge, and he's been pawing at the door and crying. And he's been moving a little funny, like maybe he's dealing with some hip/back arthritis, but he's still jumping up on the kitchen counter to scavenge. And still beating up on the other cats so they know who's boss.

Other news, for anyone who needs it: Mark's Marine Pharmacy now has Levemir in stock that expires in Nov 2026! We're stocking up (our current stash expires in April). So we don't need to worry about finding a substitute for another year and a half.

Hi Lisa, sounds like Oberon is doing well. I’m so glad to hear that!
What a funny story that he just discovered the refrigerator holding the human food he likes. He’s so adorable.

I hope he continues to feel well and keeps being his spunky self :bighug::cat::bighug:
