You are right, that low carb food can make a huge difference. But it still looks like he's going to need another increase unless he does something surprising tonight. Prove me wrong Bartholomus.
 
Yep, a couple more readings to go. I'm sure we will end up increasing. 2.5 would be a nice number.
He really has been great with the food transition; he was one of just a couple of my cats who never ever ate wet food, except that ONE flavor of fancy feast. But it was enough to get him to do it (creative mixing)! I'm so proud of him. The main problem is having multiple (understatement lol) cats in the house, with varieties of food preferences and timing, and no way of separating anyone. We're trying our best though!
 
You remind me of myself when I first started caring for my diabetic cat. With five other cats and a dog, it was difficult to keep him from stealing dry food during the day. I had to change his feeding times. Now I lock the diabetic cat in his enclosure to eat, and in the kitchen, I put out the food for the rest of the pack. When they finish, I put everything away until the next meal. It was a real ordeal not leaving their food out like I used to because the cats would go crazy meowing all day long. Now, after three years, it seems I've got it more or less under control.:);)
