Both are bouncing off lows yesterday (Autumn 23) and last night (Casey +3-47) So shooting through the bounce with Casey and will reduce him down to .75 tonight or tomorrow depending on preshot and will see about picking up some N for Autumn.

They were doing so well for so long... I hope the new insulin will help. Now I know why Alska was holding on to the sundeck - there are no tutus left. Geez Mel... that 23!! Have you ever seen a number that low before?

With Autumn a couple of times and lower. Once her meter just said LO!

Casey I think he's gonna start fast tracking it down in dose now that he's active and just about the size of a normal cat again. By this time next year I expect him to be OTJ.

Wow, what a drama queen you are, Autumn! Sheesh, you kitties are going to wear your Momma out!

I found myself thinking of you last night Mel while I laid on the couch with Sammy, waiting for an hour to test her again. I dont know how you do it with your gang, I really dont. I cant even imagine a household with that many cats! how many litter boxes? are they inside cats?

17 litter boxes and they are all indoors only along with a 97lbs drooler. My day starts at 6:20 am and runs to 11p.m. most days. lol

I don't know how you do it either. Just one diabetic kitty feels overwhelming to me at times. Autumn, Casey and the rest of the gang are so lucky to have such an experienced mama on their side. Hope you can get a little rest today cause boy oh boy those kitties are keeping you up with their #'s.

Haven't been around in ages...work and stuff, but I wanted to drop by to say "Hi". Autumn is so beautiful, Mel. And Casey is quite handsome. You're working your usual Kitty Mama magic with your sweet furgirl and furguy.

I see that you're planning to pick up some N insulin. We use Humulin N with Lantus for Butters. We also had the pharmacist order the sterile diluent solution from Lily, the manufacturer, so we could dilute the N if needed. For Humulin N, our pharmacist had to order the diluent by calling 1-800-821-0538 during the hours of 7:30 AM to 4:15 PM EST. Strange to us that we can buy Humulin N here in Illinois without a prescription but were told by Lily that a physician or pharmacist has to order the diluent solution.

"Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk make diluents for R/neutral and NPH/isophane insulins" -- depending on which N you buy: Humulin or Novolin
