I did manage to get back to sleep for a bit - she rarely if ever heads all that low before +3. Looks like she might be planning flat blue for a bit today - I can live with that and I'm sure she'll be happy for just one or two fewer tests today!
 
So am I - though flat blue with her often means lots of green, and possibly low green, at the next cycle. So this evening could be fun again. She's been asking to go outside this morning for the first time in a long time so she must be feeling good. If it's not too cold this afternoon, I'll put her harness on and let her wander in the front yard for a bit - as long as she stays warm, I'd have thought fresh air has to be good for her! :)
 
Any exercise is good for our diabetic kitties!!

Exercise makes the cells more receptive to insulin, so it can really help! (Not that Rosa needs a lot of help to have pretty numbers...especially at night!!)

Would be nice if our kitties would take into consideration that us beans aren't nocturnal and do their crazy antics during the daytime!
 
That's good to know - in that case I'll encourage her to spend some time wandering outside (she's always on a harness and leash so there's no risk of me losing her heading towards shot time). She much prefers exploring outside to playing with any of her toys in the house - her favorite toy is a catnip-filled shrimp, but she doesn't play with it as much as hug it and go to sleep wrapped around it.

If only she'd switch her lower numbers to daytime - I think she just likes the special attention she gets at night once all the other kitties have found sleeping places so it's just us and her. Not that she isn't getting some healthy numbers during the day too of course, just that she saves the very lowest ones for right when we're ready to relax, watch a movie and sleep!!
 
Looking good, miss rosa! nice to see another dose reduction for the little girl! It might've been a little inconvenient for the people, but last night was darn near PERFECT for her! :D
 
She did do really well last night - fortunately I caught her just as she went below 50 so she wasn't there for long. But that green surf - that's the longest she's managed all in green numbers so far! :D So good to get her the next reduction too - she'd tried so hard for it...it was me who was nervous about shooting the lower numbers but it all worked out for her in the end :)
 
She's all good - and it's got her a pokey break for a few hours so she's happy about that too :) Figured I'd save most of the testing for later in case she decides on a repeat of last night!
 
Looks like she forgot how to find the stairs down to the blue floor. Let's see if her shot can help her remember.
 
OK, who sent her the trampoline? Not the most hideous bounce I've seen, but this has to be a bounce. Get down off there Rosa!!
 
Oh - I have to share this. Might sound stupid but anyway...I had a back problem a few years ago and Rosa developed the habit of walking up to me for a fuss and standing up on her back legs so I didn't have to reach down too far, then wrapping her front paws around my arm to give me a hug. She hasn't been able to do it for a few weeks - I suspect she hasn't been strong enough to balance like that. But tonight she's just done it 3 times - and is massively pleased with herself too! :D I'm so happy I'm almost crying - my little girl's back to being herself!! :D :D
 
Oh I intend to - hubby's got a little work to finish so I'm going to do one more test in about an hour/hour and a half just to make sure. Then we're going to get more sleep than we've had in days. If she sticks to her usual pattern, it'll be 1 or maybe a maximum of 2 nights before she tries heading low again. ;)
 
It really is - I know she's been feeling better because she's been running around and able to jump up on furniture so much easier. But that's really her signature move and I thought she'd lost it - she's getting the biggest cuddle now and so much praise for doing so well. The difference in her in just a couple of weeks is amazing - she's gone from looking about as old as our 18 year old to looking almost the same as her twin again too. Even if she's on insulin for life, I don't fear losing her in the next few weeks/months anymore now I know this is something we can keep under control for her.
