2/11 Loose Lips - Cobb's Big Announcement

Well, we are getting used to our new normal. The house is definitely quiet and we miss our Cobb more than I can say.

But, it seems as though our guardian angel has a new person to look after!! Cobb was very excited to share what he thought was his big news! :rolleyes: But since Cobb can't be here to tell you himself, he enlisted Matty's help to share the news (see attached picture).

It is true. Our family is growing by one. Baby #2 is on the way! He or she should arrive in mid-September. We are very excited, obviously, but no lie...two kids...kinda scary!!!:nailbiting:

Anyway, I promised Cobb I would share the big news with our FDMB family. My absence over the past few weeks is partly because I am AWFUL at keeping secrets, but I wanted to make sure all was well before I shared too soon. :rolleyes:

Oh my goodness, What Wonderful News!!! Congrats Suzanne and Matt--my eyes are tearing up again...Thanks for letting it be Cobb's Big Announcement! Actually, he probably did know before you did, cats are that intuitive- no joke!
 
WOOT WOOT!!!! Congratulations! I have to grin tho'...of all days to announce this, one of our granddaughter's 16th birthday is today, a friend of ours just had their first baby this morning and another one just found out she's pregnant. Been a BABY sort of day! :) :)
 
Oh Suzanne what absolutely wonderful news, many congrats to you and Matt, I was hoping that was going to be your news that you teased us with. So happy for you, look after yourself and take extra special care.

Hi all, thanks so much! We are really excited. Saw the baby for the first time yesterday -- and it made it more real! Crazy. Right now we are in the tired and morning sickness phase. Hopefully it'll pass soon. I am most definitely not one of those "cute" pregnant ladies that you see! Hahaha.

I missed this yesterday and just wanted to add my hearty congratulations! I'm sure Cobb is pretty proud of himself for keeping this secret and I'll bet he had a hand in the timing - something to help your heart heal. I know this new baby is coming into a home filled with love and I wish you, Matt and Matty all the best.
 
Congratulations. :) That's fantastic news. My great aunt always used to say as one life goes another comes in and I have always found this to be true.
 
Congratulations Suzanne. What good news from Mattie and Cobb. will you find out if it is a boy or a girl?

Also, I haven't been on this site. I am so sorry about your Cobb. I have been reading posts to catch up.

Hi Catherine, thank you! We are adjusting to our new normal without him.

Yes, we will definitely find out! Probably end of April, beginning of May. While I think it would be cool to be surprised, there is no way I could hold out not knowing. Those who do...and I have two close friends who did hold out for the first...I have tremendous respect for their patience!!
