Yesterday Neko did the red to blue morning (recovering from a fur shot the night before), then the bean did it again. ohmygod_smile Partial fur shot I think, so back from red to pink. Uggh. I switch sides AM and PM, and really am going to have to change shooting spots tonight. I know the needle went in because I do the roll over, but maybe it went out the other side, or came back out. Whatever, gotta change that tonight. At least she gets over it fast once she gets insulin in her.

I don't normally get a +8 test in the middle of the night like that. But I went to bed around +4.5 and didn't get a before bed test. Neko has been known to turn it around dramatically mid cycle. Neko had been extra purry last night and I wasn't sure how much of a fur shot had happened. Anyway, in the middle of the night, Theo and I were awoken by the sound of Neko's strange mewing. She was on a chair outside the bedroom door. I was telling myself, she should be OK. But I proved that the fears of hypo continue a year after this dance started and had to get up and test for piece of mind. Neko must have been dreaming when she made the noises. The kitties were pleased at the extra early morning treats. :lol:

Today is a glorious sunny day and the kitties are taking in the sunshine in the solarium which is once again the warmest room in the house. I hope everyone has a restful but green Sunday. I'll probably spend some time pruning the pear trees.

Hi guys sorry about the fur shots that stinks but at least Neko turns it around quickly. I hear ya on the meowing thing I immediately think hypo too but scrabble is a talker so it is hard to tell sometimes! Hope you have a glorious Sunday along with the kitties!

I hate those fur shots. At least they do recover from them pretty quickly. I don't blame you on testing Neko. I would have too. I hope Neko keeps surfing blue for you.

Wendy - Sorry about the fur shots, but glad she clears them quickly. I know what you mean about hypo paranoia. Sometimes, Hershey will wake me up in the wee hours of the morning with unusual meowing. I try to go back to sleep but am haunted by thoughts of 'what if he's trying to tell me he's dropped really low?' and of course, can't go back to sleep without getting up to test him and finding a really high number. :roll:

Neko did some nice blue surfing this afternoon. :-D She broke the string of blue PMPS, but with her shed drained it's not by much. And NO FUR SHOT this PM. Yeah!

@Michelle - Thank goodness Neko can ditch the reds quickly! Neko's mew last night was not one of her normal ones which got me worried. Neko chats a bit, but not what I'd call a talker.

@Carla - Hate those fur shots, they always come in bunches too! But at least Neko did keep on the blue for at least half the day.

@Libby - I ought to have learned by now. Neko has never woken me in the middle of the night with a low number. :lol:

@Anne - Nothing on the red floor today. Not quite a rainbow but a good portion of one.

@Rhiannon - Nice lowish blues are my favourite. :-D

@Deborah - Doesn't look like greens tonight, but she has done this kind of pattern before and turned it around to blue. I remain hopeful, but won't stay up to see it. :lol:
 
Hi Wendy, those darn fur shot do happen to me, too. Glad Neko recovers so fast. Looks like neko will allow for some sleep, paws and fingers crossed. I always worry, too, with the chatter, thinking Mags is low and do the poke making sure. Have a good night.
