If Bear gained all his weight back he would be 20lbs 6ozs. :arghh:
We had him on weight control food and decided it just wasn't helping so we switched to Hills Science Diet recommended by a Vet Tech.
Then Bear started shedding the weight along with peeing huge amounts and acting like his cat food was candy.
We were shocked but happy we had found something that worked to help him lose weight in our ignorance of what really was going on!
Yes, the high carb cat food worked to push Bear over the edge into full blown uncontrolled diabetes.
We speculate before the change to Hills Science Diet Bear was likely prediabetic or slightly diabetic.
 
Last night's Cycle was the end of Bear's 3rd Day since his low event.
He is due a dose increase.
I am going to increase by .25 in the morning.
Bear's BG has been in the yellow a lot and he is recovering from his bounces more quickly which gives me a tendency to think his ideal dose might not be that far away.
Time well tell as Wendy has said to me before. :)
Bear is showing great improvements both physically and on his SS!
