Didn't test after bedtime last night. Just wanted to give him a little break at night. We do get up and check on him. Will get some numbers tonight though. He seems to be doing better on the 15 units and R when he's over 230 at +10.5. Just don't think the Lev. lasts long enough for him. He seems to come down early in a cycle and then it peters out. Haven't seen much green but, for now we will take the blue.
Have a relaxing Sunday. They are calling for more snow for us on Monday. Enjoy the Super Bowl. Peg and Toby

Morning, guys. :coffee:

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about Levemir, only Lantus. Is this the first time you've started using it him? Have you tried the Lantus before trying the Levemir? I hope that someone who has used Levemir can come by and help you with any questions you may have about it. Hang in there. You're doing a wonderful job.. You both are.:bighug:

Stay warm, and I hope you don't have to venture out in the snow tomorrow.

Can't help with the Lev concerns. Although I think it usually onsets later and nadirs later than Lantus. Duration? No clue.

I am just really impressed with how much Toby's progressed since you started the R. Happy dance. In the snow.

I agree, Toby is looking so much better with a little R in the mix. They've got to feel better too when their BG is a lot flatter.

You are correct, it could definitely be a duration issue. Of course they have a nickname for it here, BIPO (big insulin poop out). Typically it means the dose isn't high enough. I find that with Neko on Lev, if she's at a dose where she's getting some greens regularly, the entire set of numbers flatten down a bit. You might want to take Toby's dose up to see if you can find those greens.

Already gave tonight's shot so will go up in the morning. Will see how we make out Tomorrow. Thanks Wendy, Peg and Toby
