She's sleepy today. Her urine smells pretty strong. Could that be UTI? Purring and loving today. Enjoying the birds out the window. Head bumps and scritches

Sounds like she's feeling pretty good, so maybe a UTI is unlikely? Nice numbers today, too!

Jones' urine smells strong every once in awhile as well. Not sure if it is because it is concentrated better as he drank less or just held it longer??? It has never been a UTI.

@Wendy&Neko we got the levemir. I think we will be switching Sunday am. Any suggestions to the dosage? ty

Good luck with the Lev. We usually start at 70% ognthe Lantus dose, so that would be 9.5 units. Some cats have an initial strong reaction the chance, hence starting lower. You can fast track up if it's too low a dose.

I don't know if it's normal, but I was terrified. I felt like a newbie, had to learn her Lev onset, nadir and patterns all over again. Fortunately, not a complete newbie. But I did lose a little sleep. I chose to try Lev whe DH was out of town so I could get up in the middle of the night without bothering him. Somehow I don't think Phoebe will go wonky. I don't see cats go worse on Lev. You just might have to increase a bit to get up to a good dose.
