Maggie is eating okay on small meals of Merrick duck. Her stomach was making such horrible gurgling sounds when she was eating, at which point she would stop eating, but the gurgling is decreased with the duck. I wonder if she has developed an allergy to chicken or at least an aversion to it.
I'm considering adding pred back into the mix for a while since that helps some kitties with IBD, according to a group on Facebook. I'd rather increase insulin than have Maggie not be able to eat. Seems like a no brainer.

Just a warning about the Pred....one of its side effects is that it can make the kitty weak. We had it happen with Allen; his hind legs got very wobbly. I'm sure it doesn't happen to all kitties but that is my one experience with it. And once you start it, you can't stop it cold turkey; it has to be decreased gradually.

I'm glad the duck seems to be helping her tummy. Maybe before you start the pred again you can give the duck a few more days and see if her eating gets better.
