Much better start to the day.
And starting out down here on the pink floor instead of the black on he has much less distance to come down today to play on the green floor

Yeah I know what you mean about not being able to claim your fur babies on taxes...But then again they don't cost me nearly as much as my 2-legged children did over the years...lol...At least the furry ones don't wreck your car, get thrown in jail and need to be bailed out or bring home their dirty laundry..lol

:lol: Yup, been there for all of that, with the 2 legged ones! 1 of mine brought home a pregnant GF, would rather have the dirty laundry!! ohmygod_smile
I still think we should be able to claim them........we ARE saving the state/Government $$ by caring for them rather than them being feral or in a government shelter.......think about it? But I do 'think outside the box' too. :lol: If all the shelter animals had homes, there would be not reason for shelters, hence less expense, right? :?: :?:
So I am waiting for Lucian's +6, can't wait to see where he has been playing when my back is turned. ;-) My BFF swears that, whenever I leave the house, he invites the neighborhood cats over for a party! She says "You don't know what he does when you aren't there!" :lol: At least they clean up before I get home. ;-)

Okay a couple of things come to mind...First off you did remember his morning shot right? j/k kinda. Secondly he could have gone lower than he is use to overnight and bounced, or he still has a little bit of his shed leftover from the higher dose that is skewing his numbers. Or it was just a faulty test, normally when Autumn does something like this I will test another time to make sure that it wasn't just a bad read. Sometimes if there is too much or too little blood on the strip it will give you a funky read.

He was screaming to eat for the past hour and a half, so I fed him. Will get a +8, but I DO think he is that high. Just cleaned the litter box and he is drowning it again. I gave him his shot, I'm sure and don't think it was a fur shot, but anything is possible, I suppose. I know I stuck him, he flinched. Not funny but I know he felt it anyway.
The reason I dropped him was because of the mid-cycle spike that points to too much insulin.......I wonder if he is still too high?

The problem with judging his output, is that he goes in the exact same place, so if he has gone 2-3 times.......anyway, I got to see how much in a clean LB and it's not out of the ordinary by much.

If he flinched you could have hit muscle which will effect how it is absorb by the body...Do you tent before you shoot? He shouldn't have even felt the needle, Autumn never even looks up, she is oblivious to the shots.

I do tent and make sure I angle to be almost parallel with his spine and not shoot downward and kinda roll his skin between my fingers to make sure I have nothing but skin, ya know? I'm not saying that I didn't mess up on his shot, anything is possible, I just don't know, but I don't think so.
Right now I'll just ride it out a couple cycles and see what he tells me. :sad: If his +3 tonight shows him on that downward slide, and his amps is better in the morning, then I probably messed up his shot this morning, I was really tired, I don't normally go back to sleep. We'll see what the next 2-3 cycles show, I guess. I don't want to change anything over one number, I heard that before. Never judge by 1 number! :smile:

Ride it out today and lets see what tomorrow holds it could very easily be a bounce, but the fact that he is coming down a little almost says the dose is still too high but would like to see what he does in a couple more cycles to see if it is a pattern or a glitch in his system today.

Alright, if he slides down tonight after his shot, I'n gonna say I screwed up his shot this morning.
If he spikes, then I'll lean towards too high a dose and watch him for a repeat in the next cycle.
Then decide what to do.
Right now, I think I'll have a glass of wine, been a frustrating day. :-x

Go have a glass of wine, a box of chocolate and a bubble bath.
As high as he is tonight if you want to hit the hay early go for it, as it is highly doubtful that he is going to drop too low overnight.
