Good Morning Lantus Land,

Attie is on the spunky side, but with those low numbers comes a food fit or should I say ongoing fit. He ate a few bites of breffis and is now sitting grooming himself as if he ate a whole turkey.

This unusually warm weather has the night creatures all out and about. I heard the garbage can go over last night and noticed the bungee cord for the lid was still here next to the trash bin inside. :? Well we'll see if I have a mess to clean up when the sun comes up. And hope the raccoons and opossum enjoyed their mid-winter feast.

My kitters of course were all just fascinated with the outside nighttime activities and running from window to window was the order of the evening.

Prayered up for all the kitters that need'em today in LL. From DKA's, to broken legs, to foster homes needed... and even human beans fighting the big C.

Hmmmm....Looks like a green day?

Attie is noshing his chicken appetizer mixed with half a can of chicken FF. We'll leave down the other half of the FF when I leave in 20 minutes or so.

Have to do Buddy and then go buy test strips...postpone our visit with Penny and Lexie until 1pm. If all goes smoothly I should be back by 11am or 11:30am.

When I got home this afternoon I was surprised to see the purple crocus is up and blooming.

So I dutifully went out to the front garden bed and clipped back a few of the plants I had left long and leggy for winter interest. My neighbor ...who snow blows my driveway for me, asked if I was doing an early spring clean-up already! I told him no, but if the crocii (sp) are going to bloom this early I wanted to be sure to have a chance to enjoy them! He was shocked to see my efforts revealed purple crocus in full open bloom. We left the winter leaves etc. that are trapped around the base of the plants as they will provide insulation for frost and winter storms. Even the neighor cat, Rebel, came over to nose around and find the first sprigs of catnip nosing up between the winter bed of leaves. So, the icicle pansy's I bought last fall and touted to be the first sping garden flower...failed to beat my purple crocus. I wonder if I can get my money back?

Hi Beth
What a lovely day for Attie :-D

Hehe, bungee cording the lids on, delays their raid for only a minute, as they get the lid aside anyway. I swear, the cats can hear the critters, walking in the soft snow.

Amazing how the flowers are in such a hurry to show their pretty selves, as soon as we have warm spell :-D All I have is mud

Beautiful day for Attie!!

Isn't this weather crazy? My daffodils are up two months early and the peach trees have buds. It was 70 here today which is 30 degrees above normal. Now if we could just get some rain. I miss winter where the yard doesn't scream at me to do something with it every time I go out.

Have a wonderful night Beth!
