? 19/12/2021 - Whiskey dosing advice please

Hi all, general dosing advice please. Whiskey is down to 0.25 of a unit 2 x a day. I did a curve on this dose on day 1 of the adjustment (17 Dec 2021).

Since then her numbers seem to be climbing slowly and I have a feeling she may do better on something between 0.5 and 0.25 for now.

So my question is, on SLGS, do I wait for a few more days before doing another curve and adjusting the dose, or do an adjustment now?

In the event of an adjustment, where do I go, and how on earth to measure something like 0.35, or 0.40?

With SLGS you stick with .25 for 7 days unless she drops under 90. Right now it’s an okay dose for her. This is just the start of day 3.
So far she's only hit under 90 once at what I think is her nadir, looking back on her numbers...+6.

I missed a midday check yesterday, and probably will also today as it is ear cleaning day and she's got the grumps with me on account of that.

Will do one tm though and aim for a curve on day 7.

Was no insulin given last night? Lantus is a depot insulin and works best when dosed consistently. Frequent changes in the dose, confuse the depot and it's hard to tell which dose is working.

Like Elise said, you want to hold the 0.25U for a week before taking a call on dosing.

If you can monitor, you want to start shooting some lower numbers (between 90 and 150).

Sounds good. It would be best if she doesn’t drop under 90 so try to avoid it now with food.

Sorry, my bad, I forgot to add the dose for last night 0.25.

Now the spreadsheet has resorted to view only mode for my main Gmail account. I'll need to reassign permissions to my main Gmail account or move it to that account from my pc when I get home, and update my link as I can't edit it now.

Patricia, are you able to get any tests in during the pm cycles? Cats often drop lower at night and unless you are testing, you won’t know. Getting into the habit of a before bed test is a good idea. If that test is lower than the Preshot I would set the alarm and get up and check whiskey has not dropped too
Low.

I sometimes can, but not tonight.

She's also being treated for ear mites (they resulted in a nasty bacterial and fungal infection), and today was ear cleaning day so can only do minimal tests on account of sensitivity. I cannot use revolution or any other treatment on her, so am having to do a combination of ear cleaning and diatomaceous earth to clear the mites.
