So I had to switch my cat's food to something else because the local store here stopped selling what I usually give him. It is the same brand but different flavors so I didn't think it would be a problem. Well, the last two days he's had diarrhea, and today it is really watery. Do you think he will make it till tomorrow to see a vet before he becomes super dehydrated or should I rush him to an emergency one?

Try to make sure he is getting extra water with his food and if you can get him in first thing in the morning. I have also heard though that the fancy feast beef pate was hard on the stomach and causes diarrhea. The classic chicken pate seems to be the easiest on the stomach. When I first started the fancy feast with my cat I tired the beef with her and she had diarrhea. She eats only the chicken and chopped grill pate now. You could might try over the counter probiotics as well. It is most likely the food change.

How much is he peeing? As much as usual, or a lot less? If you pull him by the scruff, is there as much tissue there as usual? These are quick checks for dehydration, hope they will be of some use to you in decision-making. M'row does fine on fancy feast, but he never ever gets beef. Love &support!!
