Mo came in for a cuddle with me last night :) Despite not being super active and playful, he still seems pretty happy. I did notice him drinking water this morning, which I haven't seen him do in a while since we add extra water to his food. I'm going to book him an appointment on Thursday just for another check up and to discuss possible insulin resistance.

I'm trying so hard to not let Mo's diabetes dictate how I feel. I've been feeling pretty horrid and anxious the last couple of months because however he has been feeling has dictated my moods. I decided yesterday that I can't keep living like this. I need to enjoy my life while doing the best I can for Mo and making his life a happy one. I'm a very anxious person and need to be in constant control of everything. But unfortunately this is something I can't control despite trying very hard to do so. I'm still doing everything I can for him, but I need to take a mental step back and choose happiness, not stress. That will be better for me and everyone around me, including Mo.

He's currently outside enjoying the gorgeous weather we are having in Wellington, NZ at the moment. About time, since we had a very wet Spring!

Have a wonderful day, everyone :) :bighug:

Yes, this. Worrying and stress do not bring better numbers. Two months after Butters' pancreatitis and hospital stay completely deregulated her, I made the choice of happiness over stress just last week and I highly recommend it....five stars out of five. :bighug:

My boy enjoying the sun :)

It's just a much nicer way to live! I'm so glad you made the choice of happiness over stress toooooo! Also, good to know you recommend it :p Take care of yourself, Lyla :bighug:

Cats live in the moment, so making sure he's happy as much as you can is the right way to go. I too had a kitty that seemed perpetually in high numbers. It really helped making sure I got out for a walk, or a paddle on the water, or whatever it takes to relieve stress. Something are out of our control, I found that very hard too. :bighug:

Yes! I find going to work an escape. And it helps that I love what I do and have great work colleagues! I should definitely go out for more walks to clear my head though.
