Looks like I was overly confident in my stalking skills, no free-catch urine for the vetty visit
. Maverick did really well, I brought his brush and that seemed to calm him a bit. The cysto was the easiest part, because the vet did it, in and out in 5 seconds.
He was none too happy with the blood draws though. I have heaps of patience normally, but the assistants had to do it twice, since the needle came out the first time, on the first leg. Each time they shaved which is fine, but by the second time poor guy was being asked to stay still for way too long, so I finally said, if you can't get much more blood at this point, you'll have to use what you got, he's had enough.
I had wondered about his injection sites, and the vet did notice as well that the areas are getting a bit lumpy again. What was super cool is they have a new hand-held imaging device that takes pictures. Holy smokes, the one photo taken from top view clearly showed where I was injecting, it was red! So, I most definitely need to do better at moving his shots around. I asked for copies via email, so I'll post when I get it, it was fascinating to see.
