I will upload a video and photos of Monkey later today;). Also I will weigh him today. (I weigh them on Thursday)

Monkey AMPS is 565 today:( PenPen AMPS is 65, new record, I still injected 1 drop since I thought one drop cannot hurt and PenPen is having good appetite. I am thinking if I made the wrong decision.

I think Monkey needs more insulin, can I jump from 1.5 to 2.0? Also, as you people have said, Monkey need more nutrients. I am thinking if I should add 50 g of can food and 45 g of chicken to him, so in total he eats 210g of can and 125g of chicken breast. That giantic, but maybe he needs that.

My question, I think the amount of food in a cycle is positively correlate with his ending BG. Is that common?
 
With PenPen please get a test in around +5 or +6 to see he’s not dropping too low. Even a drop can make the BG drop too low.
Do you feed PenPen during the cycle?

With Monkey you need to wait for 6 cycles before you can increase. It will be 6 cycles tonight, so if he doesn’t drop low overnight you can increase tomorrow morning. And you need to increase to 1.75 units please, not 2 units
Monkey sounds as if he is getting enough food already if he is getting 335 grams a day. Are you wanting to add another 93 grams?
I think the reason you are seeing the high numbers Peter is because you are seeing Monkey bouncing after each time he drops lower.
Unless you are feeding higher than 10% carb food, I don't think the food you are feeding him is sending him up into red and black numbers.

Oh, I mean now he is eating 160g of can and 80g of chicken, in total 240g. I am thinking if I should add another 50g of can food and 45 g of chicken.

Yes, I will measure PenPen. How often should I measure Monkey's? I think I need to save some test paper:rolleyes: Can I just measure +2, +4, +5 +6?

With Monkey, why don’t you just add either the canned food or the chicken but not both. Do you think he is still hungry?
Yes it is fine to just do fewer tests on Monkey especially when he is in high numbers. Always make sure you have enough test strips so you don’t run out of them.
With Monkey you could just do +2 and +5. If he’s dropping you might need to test more often. You can also change the times around and do a +3 and +6

At what timing should I feed him? The reason I want to add additional chicken because it is cheap and don't hurt to feed more
 
Your spreadsheets says you shot 1.25 units, not 1.5 units tonight? I hope that was a typo, because if not, then you haven't had six cycles at this dose and cannot increase yet. If you did shoot 1.5 at night, then I might still hold off until the PM to increase. It looks like Monkey breaks his bounce on the sixth cycle after the numbers that caused the bounce. That would be tomorrow morning. Increasing on the cycle they break the bounce is not a good idea, it can cause extra downward momentum in the numbers.

Thanks Wendy for noticing that. It is a typo:D. So you mean today AM I should stay on 1.5 U? Unluckily today I did not read the forum and inject new dose 1.75:facepalm:
 
Peter you need to test PenPen before every shot and at least once during the cycle sometime between +4 and+6 just to see he’s not dropping too low. He will hopefully soon be ready for an OTJ trial. But we need to see he is staying in green numbers.
With Monkey, he may come off the bounce very soon so be on the look out for lower numbers.
