12-8 (Yesterday) Good morning! I hope everyone has a beautiful day!!!! Kitties be good and think green
Prayers for all the sweet ones and their Beans!!
Moey is just truckin' along with his current dose. I'm in a bit of a quandary about when or what # I should be alerted to in order to start steering his curve. Mid 50s at +1 or +2 grabs my attention. I feel like I may have jumped the gun yesterday at +2 by starting to steer. He had quite a drop so, I didn't want that trend to continue and started out giving him 1/2 Tsp 12% w/ 1 Tbsp LC(his lunchtime was coming up hence the Tbsp of LC). His # stayed the same at +2.5 so, I gave 1/2 Tsp of straight 12%. That did the trick but, it may have caused him to go a little higher later in his cycle. His appy gets weird when he's in the 50s & 60s. He doesn't really want his LC... he will sample it a bit. All he wants is MC/HC at that point. When he starts to head towards the 40s...he doesn't care what he eats, hands and feet included! So, letting him do his own thing w/o assistance would be great, unless of course he drops into the 40s. Also, I don't want him getting reductions too soon. His current dose is working but, he could stand for a little improvement. When I see the big drops at +1/+2, I feed LC to encourage surfing but, that usually doesn't have a decent effect(if he even eats it....it varies day to day). So basically...am I over doing it by steering too soon?
Hope that made sense. I just kinda vomited my brain out there LOL!!!!

Also, where can I find a carb calculator that allows me to input the values and get %. I have the as fed #s from Dr. Elsey's. I'd like to be able to turn those values into actual % for my LC varieties.
