Previous thread!

Apparently the threat of contacting the vet was convincing enough for Esse to get back in the green (or maybe it was the increase to 2.25u that did it). Thanks to everyone who's been so supportive over the last few days. I do wonder if he had a little infection or some other inflammation but got over it on his own.

The downside of seeing lots of green is that the Libre can become very imprecise, mostly in that <70 range, which means more manual testing. He's been a good sport so far, though. Having him on his highest dose to date makes me very anxious to catch any true lows.

Well if that that is what did it, just make sure to carry it on.
'Now Esse, don't make me call the vets for an app. Stay in the pretty shade of green'.
Best of luck😁

I always joke that I wish he understood English so we could explain why all of this stuff is happening to him. But maybe he knows more than we thought. πŸ˜‚
I often wonder about that!
One of my dumbest cats (Oliver-my ginger) seems so brain dead and is constantly doing stuff he had to know he shouldn't be by now. But he's also the only one to figure out how to open doors!
I think they're faking it! πŸ˜…

Glad the threat worked Mary. Give him few days to get over tha last few days and I'm sure you'll see improvements in his numbers soon. He's such a stable boy. And give yourself some credit as well. You're such a wonderful mama to Jude and the rest of your babies.
Happy tuesday

Hi Lauren, glad Esse is doing well and cooperating with the pokes. He's such a good boy!
The hard part is when the Libre alarms are screaming at you (and him!)
I've taken to wrapping Ivy's phone in 2 towels to dull the sound! o_O

Safe surfing sweet Esse!:bighug:πŸ„β€β™‚οΈπŸŒŠ

I'm so glad he's doing better! Nice run of green there, Esse. πŸ’š

I must admit to serious "good sport" envy on those blood tests. What a good boy!

We're making HEAVY use of the temporary alarm-silencing function. The LibreLinkUp notifications go to my smartwatch anyway so there's no need to have the sound on during the day.

Truly we owe it all to having two people to do it (one person for distraction and one person for poking) and these specific treats that can be broken up and hand-fed in small pieces throughout the process. They're the only treats he hasn't reverse-conditioned himself to reject, lol. Our success rate when only one person is home is about 25%. πŸ˜‚

We love to see those greens!! Congrats on handling this new dose so well. Hopefully he can stick to those consistent greens and won't be in at this dose for too long... safe reduction of course (anti-jinx).
Safe surfing πŸ€—
