Happy Birthday to our GA Sitka who was with us in this realm for 21 incredible years. We still miss you and will love you forever!

WCR: 4Ps and bright-eyed today!! She and Mike had a busy day yesterday and at least her nadir was back where we are used to it being. Of course, she bounced because we did not anticipate that drop from AMPS to +2 after the stalling the previous cycle. Gracie and Tobey had quite the time last night as we decorated the Christmas tree. We actually thought we were going to have to take it all down because Tobey got so wild. Gracie has been camped out under it a good part of the time but she and Tobey both have been moving the sheep in the manger. Tobey also brought all of his little toy fluff balls in and put them by the manger.

We’re happy to see Gracie in healing ranges more in her cycles but just wish we could figure out a way to get the bounces to yellow and stay out of pink. I wonder if my vet is right that she appears to be a “brittle diabetic” because she’s all over the place and her SS looks like a rainbow almost every day.

Have a wonderful day….will try today to get to condos from work…should be able to for a change. I miss you all and reading your wonderful condos and seeing how your sugarbabies are doing.

Good Morning. DH here - A flat start today, so hopefully not a repeat of yesterday. Hopefully not a repeat of the day before either, when she slid slowly all day and then surprised us at pmps. EDWGID (every day with Gracie is different).

Marjorie, that barely counts as a pink bounce this morning! She looks like she will be down in no time, too?

If you figure out why they drop and bounce like they do, I'm nominating you for the Nobel Prize!

How cute with Tobey putting his toys by the manger. and they like the sheep huh. what fun! Well maybe he will settle down and camp out under the tree like Gracie. one on one side, the other on the other: teamwork! :lol:

nice to remember Sitka on his birthday. i tend to do the same with my GA's too. they are nice memories.

nice day for Gracie yesterday - too bad on the bounce. sometimes i just think that no matter how hard we try they are un-avoidable. I hope she clears this one soon.

DH here - 234 at +2. Much better drop than yesterday, but still not quite as flat as I'd like. She seems to have her best results when her curve is less than 50 an hour. Gracie and Tobey are both under the tree. Tobey seems to have settled down with it now that there is no movement involved. He is a sheep man, apparently. Our boy Max, that we lost last year, never bothered any of the figures except the baby Jesus. Without fail, every day during Xmas time started with a "Wheres Baby Jesus?" scavenger hunt around the house. We found him in some pretty weird places.

Looks like Grace is going to give you some pretty decent numbers today, I hope that she doesn't drop like a hot potato, tho.
It is so funny to hear about the manger hi-jinx for your kitties! That is such a cute story. My Spot is the one who lays under the tree, the other two don't really give it two looks.

DH here - 136 at +4, still coming down at a fairly slow rate. Think I'll test again at +5 just to be sure.

DH here - 116 at +5. Nice slowdown, hopefully she will surf around here. Fed her some 1% to hold her till dinner. I think I'm going out to run a couple of errands that I haven't been able to get out of the house to do this week. Just a bunch of snoozin' katzen around here. Test again in a couple hours.

Looks like the tree lover is coming down today :-D Such happy babies when they think you have brought the forest indoors :mrgreen:
As our cats are indoor, we have lots of plants on the floor & they go floating thru the leaves when they feel like it--Makes them feel leafy :lol:
and outdoorsy! Hope you see green by tonite--Hugs from us!

:lol: :lol: :lol: we can't keep any plants indoors because of Miss Gracie who has to put EVERYTHING into her sweet little mouth!! When we first moved here and were looking for a house, we looked at one that was so cool...it was 3 stories and had a small tree coming up through the middle of it because it was wide open from the bottom floor to the top!! We thought the cats would love it but our Sitka was already getting arthritic and we felt a one story house would be better for her. Even though we no longer live in the house we bought instead of that one, I can't imagine trying to get Gracie down outta that tree to test her :lol: :lol:

DH here - Well she has a nice blue surf going. 118 at +7. The whole time I was out doing errands I kept thinking, "man I've got to get back home in case she does something hinkey. Out of my way geezer snowbirds!". Guess I have to break myself of that.

Gracie is looking good today. Paws crossed that Gracie's rainbow colored SS will evidentually become just duo-toned. Blue/green.

Majorie...thanks for your comments in my condo. I too had asked my vet about the possible influence of the flovent on Curry's glucose....he said while there isn't any data to support that notion, it is possible it might cause Curry's numbers to be elevated....So we will just keep plugging along here and take it day by day.

Hi Nina.....thank you...we're a tag team :lol: :lol: I don't know how people do it alone!

Tena: I think my vet reacts like that because steroids is what got Gracie here. But you can't argue with how Curry looks! I really hope Gracie gets that blue/green two-tone like Curry!! She's our SUPERSTAR :lol: :lol:

Celi....our much beloved GA Max was the Baby Jesus thief. Of course, he taught Gracie all he knows about moving the manger peeps around. Mike says the Baby Jesus still has cat fang stigmata. So now the tradition passes on and Gracie is teaching Tobey. She such a good sister. :lol: :lol:

It's the MANNER in which he tells the slowbies :lol: :lol: :lol:

I'm off to ni ni...one more work day this week...yippee. DH had brief respite and is on duty again. What a man!!
