well, there are certainly worse numbers we could be seeing, and i keep reminding myself that i just got spoiled by his long run of good numbers.

when he woke me up this morning in his always sweet, loving way, we both fell off the couch so i'm going to take this opportunity to go back to sleep, and then i'm heading to the pet shops locally to look for Feliway, cuz i'm tired of the girls being locked up in the bedroom. It can't be fun for them, and my couch just doesnt compare to the queen sized pillowtop mattress with the 5 inch featherbed.

before anyone asks...i might as well spill that it is NOT a Posturepedic...it's a Simmons...

eta: i wasnt going to add this cuz it's off topic, but i think it's important...holding the Idaho family of Bowe Bergdahl in our hearts today...he is the only american serviceman thought to be held captive by opposing forces, and a video was discovered yesterday in which he appears. May he come home safely and soon.

I must have missed it - why are the girls locked in the bedroom? I'm sleeping on an air matress now in the living room so DH can get sleep. My neck is soooo sore today. I wonder if a feliway difuser would help Maverick wait until 7AM before he wakes us up? I'm so going shopping today too if you say it might.

Hope the feliway works for your furbabies.....Used it when I moved and the kitties were VERY stressed out. Not sure if it worked, but made me feel better. :mrgreen:

Okey dokey, Binks, you spoiled your mum...you know it isn't nice to unspoil her now, don't you? So, please go back to those nice numbers so she can feel spoiled again!!!

I'm really sorry to hear about your sleeping situation. When my Ali was beating up on Spot a while back..for some reason she just started to pick on him something terribly and then would go after Ralph....I got some stuff called comfort zone because they were out of the feliway. I also bought some bandanna's for all three cats and sprayed it on them and put them around their necks. It worked pretty well. Maybe an idea?

Hope your day goes well and that Binks will turn around!

Maybe you should move the couch into the bedroom and the bed into the living room? Good luck with felliway.

have no experience with feliway...but others have found it to work for upset kitties...
briefly (if that's possible from the verbose bean) the Adoptocats belong to my sis...and since she can't come home, binks and i moved in with them. in the cold weather, they have been denied the option to go outside, and it seems that our family merge is more difficult than i believed it could ever be. when they arent confined, binks' numbers skyrocket...cuz they is FULL of Tortitude...


it'll work out one way or the other....cuz i'm not willing to concede defeat...but it's currently a "work in progress" :smile:

I like Ella's idea...move the couch into the bedroom and the bed into the living room!!!

I have used the Feliway diffusers with success but they are expensive. I get them online and bought the refills in mass quantities. I hope it works.
Poor Binks. Also good luck with the dose increase.

Hope you get the kinks out today...last thing you need!!! And throw some pillows on that floor so when you and Binks roll out, you land soft. :lol: :lol:

no clue on the felway - just have not had to deal with kitties with attitudes. deb's idea sounds like a good one.

i hope the new dose with get binks jump started, and back to those wonderful numbers. good luck.

I too hope that the idaho soldier will soon be freed. our thoughts are with him, and all held captive.

in total agreement with what you said, Mama M...anyone held against their will...but i'll be damn*d if i'll let Smudge and Annie read this...or they'll be drafting the Tortie version of the Geneva Convention, and i doubt binks and i would like the terms!

Binks added kitty Thorazine to my shopping list, but i think that may be a little on the harsh side... :lol:

Celi, Feliway is really expensive in the stores. From what I can make out Comfort Zone is another brand of Feliway. The packages say " Comfort Zone with Feliway" There is also the Bach Flower essences "Rescue Remedy for Pets" our local vitamin shop carries it.

Seriously.
I told the person who sent me the link that my cats would get as far as raising one paw toward the other, and then it's war. They play dirty, not nice - but other than that, they get along. Mostly.

OMG, that was hysterical!! Thanks so much for sharing, MJ! Mine never play that nicely either...I have two torties that regularly wrestle, and Tinkles plays referee...literally...he jumps in the middle to break them up! :lol: I'm never quick enough to catch it on video though.

Celi, good idea to order online. Nice to see some blue on Binksy, a little lower would be even better....

I always bought feliway at Entirelypets.com - usually I could find a coupon for 10 or 15% off and sometimes free shipping...

My vet suggested once, when my kitties weren't getting along, to put a smudge of vanilla extract on all of their noses so they couldn't smell the others...

yeah, when i worked for the vet clinic years ago, the vet used to put a tiny touch of perfume on cats who fought...
but these two dont rate my 3 faves..Oscar, Trejor...and the ultimate subtle sublime scent ever...Vera Wang.
i think vanilla is about their speed...

Vera Wang is my fav perfume!! You are the only other person I know who knows it!! Think cats will like it?? :lol:
I have used Rescue Remedy when I took Copper to vet first time--I sprayed it in the cage--He still freaked out!!
I used to spray it near Moonie when she wouldnt let me shoot her yrs ago-It eventually worked! It did calm me down.

I think medical marijuana may be needed for those kittens & binks!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

first good numbers in soo long...and i left the kibble down when i put the adoptocats out!

he ate his fill at 10.5...never even realized he had gone in there until he came out licking his chops...

well...at least i'll know why his numbers go up...

Great numbes Binks and JMO sometimes cats will not get along no matter how hard you try been there and doing it now I have separation due to breeding but also in part to cats not getting along just the way it is sometimes but you can always try feliway it can help in some situations

i have to say...the fun & support in my condo today and tori's mama have gone a long way in restoring my faith in the human species..

DH here - Binks received a valuable lesson on the wages of sin in one trip to the kibble bowl. It took the Jesuits many years to beat it into my thick head. I'm still disregarding the message, hopefully der Binkster will not. :razz:

Celi, i was just about to ask re: high #s ....i saw Binks had gone way up and i was gonna ask you if you knew why....this certainly answers it! i'm still puzzled as to why Rocket's #s went up tonight if he NEVER got kibbles....hmmm....oh well.....another thing to add to my pondering head!
