Good morning LL,

I'm not sure what's up with these numbers. No kibble thieving that I know of... but it's always a possibility because my mom's cat still eats dry. Bailey seems to feel fine, she is cleaning FF off her sweet little face right now. Maddie is passed out on top of a catnip toy in the middle of the kitchen floor  wild night, I guess.

My question is about freeze-dried chicken or salmon treats. We use these at pokey time, so we go through a lot of them. Originally we were using We Pity The Kitties, made at a local dog bakery... but the cost was getting to be pretty high. Stan found some at Petsmart that were cheaper, and she LOVES them. She will barely hold still for me to poke her because she is trying to get at these treats. However... I just noticed they are made in China. And that makes me a little nervous. They are Beefeaters brand. So, I guess my question is, for those who used freeze-dried treats, what brand do you use and where do you buy them?

Re: 12/8 Bailey AMPS 380 and a treat question

I've used Halo and Purebites. I have Purebites in the house at the moment and I've got to look at where they're made. I also use Wellness jerky-style treats.

Some people will use cooked chicken breast. They cook the chicken, cut it up and then freeze it. They then defrost as much as they need for a few days.

Re: 12/8 Bailey AMPS 380 and a treat question

We use Purebites (petco) and i cook chicken breasts as well cuz the kitties have fun waiting till they're ready :-D

i no longer allow Binks the Gummi Bears

Re: 12/8 Bailey AMPS 380 and a treat question

Bailey, what's got you flying so high?

We use the Purebites too. I'll have to take a look at the package to see where they are packaged. Weezer also likes cut up raw chicken gizzards for treats. Ewww, but hey, I'm not eating it! I freeze them in packages that will serve her and Doobie for a couple of days. It's cheap, good for them, and gives them something to chew on. Now if I could just get her to eat them directly from her bowl instead of taking it out of the bowl, putting it on the floor and then eating. Messy cleanup.

Thanks guys for the responses, sounds like the Purebites are popular. And my 2 minutes of internet research indicates they are made in Canada, so I think that is what we will buy next.

Linda, cut up chicken gizzards? Sounds disgusting, so I bet the kitties love it! I hope they appreciate what their bean does for them.

+2 is 319, still stinkus pinkus but headed the right direction. I am off to work, have a great day everyone!

Well, we are out of the pinks at least! It is nice to be home, I am going to cuddle with the critters on the couch for a while. Night everyone!

oh bailey! all that pink isn't attractive on you!

we boil chicken breasts, cut them up in little bits, freeze most and leave out a couple of days worth. at least then you know what's in the treats! punkin & anya both love it.

Hi Melissa, thank you for the info on clindamycin. Very reassuring to see what works for other kitties. We've read that fortiflora can help with the loose stools. Zener already gets that so hopefully he won't have any problems. Have a great Friday!
Liz
