Good Morning, Everyone. TGIF!

Rusty had a good night, eating all his nighttime fuds and sleeping with his beans. This morning we had another nicked capillary, but a good shot. Pretty good AMPS number. Good breakfast (1st sitting consumed thus far) of Wellness Turkey. After the gorgeous day yesterday, we will be in a rain/sleet/snow pattern until early next week. Well, I have lots to do around here, beginning with laundry! Maybe some Xmas shopping this afternoon in Lake Placid. Tomorrow we will go to see Verdi's "Un Ballo in Mascara" at the Met in HD live telecast at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts.

Going downstairs to schmooze with Rusty now. I've been writing anti-fracking letters all morning to the governor and the NYS environmental protection agency and I'm tired!

Wishing all a good day and sending healing vines and good thoughts to all kitties and beans who are under the weather.

I'm pea green with envy about your opera tomorrow night. I know you'll enjoy the bejabbers out of it. I listened to it on youtube with Pavarotti.. magnificent!! Please enjoy it enough for me too, ok?

It's rainy and cold here too. I'd love to visit Lake Placid. It's intrigued me since the Olympics.
CBS Sunday Morning did a piece on the live broadcasts of the Met operas recently. Looked just as exciting as being there at the opera house in person.
Find something fun to do today Ella. :-D

Another nice day in Upper NY, I like the shopping part at least. Heading back to the Lagoon again Rusty? Enjoy the opera, we need to find where they bradcast them near us.

Hi again,
Rusty and I just enjoyed a few rousing games of "tube ball" (our new name for the paper-towel roll and 3 bell balls game of whack). I send the balls through the tube to his side and he whacks them back to mine. He is a good strategist, so it is much more complex than it sounds. Fun for all!

Off now to go shopping.
Mary, you can go to the Metropolitan Opera website, type in your city, and get a list of the movie theaters near you that do the "Met- in- HD" broadcasts. They are all live Saturday matinees, so you don't have to be out too late. Many of the theaters also do "encore" showings. It's almost like being in the House (well, almost). The intermissions have great interviews with the singers, too.

I needed to order strips for the Presto today, so I got a pill popper while I was there. Yes soft tip. It was the one in the link you sent. Thank you.
Tux was a bit more cooperative tonight, but still I think the gadget might make it easier. Okay, I love new toys :lol:

Rusty had a really good day. He loves playing our new game of "Tube Ball". Both Edward and I had several matches with him. Now we're all off to bed. Nighttime snack (FF T&G) has been eaten and the bedtime fuds put out to nibble on overnight (triple delight: Wellness Turkey, Wellness Chicken, and FF T&G). I don't know when or how often he eats at night, but the food is always all gone in the morning. Some days I think he is eating just before the alarm goes off. This accounts for why he always grazes his breakfast (in 2 or more sittings). Rusty is a real "free-feeder".
