Evening LL! What crazy numbers Moonie had today! Guess she decided to bounce tonite...
BUT she has been well, adjusting to apt, reasonably happy, and eating~~ even pooped twice this past 3 days
WHOOT!!! She could use to gain some weight, but is eating well~~I give her chicken & chopped turkey cooked with Miralax added, which she loves. Getting her meds from our reg vet which is way closer to where we live. I'd like to try the coconut stuff, but will cats eat coconut??
She takes her meds in the pill pockets which I tell her is cookies & she eats them with such gusto!!! ;-) ;-)
Life is in a better place for all of us right now.
Also give her 1/4 pepcid in a 1/2 pill pocket once a day. Other 1/2 pp holds the Cypro. She really thinks it's a treat! Bless her little heart!

I however now have a case of Shingles on my neck and back--Thought I burned my neck & Back with a heating pad.
WRONG! So now I am on valtrex & hope it goes away fast!!!!
With all the details & things I have to keep up with, beauracracy at its finest! No wonder I got shingles...
Still havent gotten any flood insurance money..Talk about dragging one's feet!
Prayers for all kitties ailing in any way..Sending Big Hugs & Love from us to you all!! :-D

Glad that Moonie is doing better & is settling down in her new home. I am sure she will improve in time.
Roni, is the shingles painful? that is also stress triggered. Take care.
I dont know if cat will love coconut oil , but I am adding a tsp of olive oil to Rosy's meal daily. I want her to gain a little weight & help with the hairball. She has been having this for sometime, so far no adverse effect. Some of my friend also use cold pressed flexseed oil which is great with tumor but flexseed oil is a bit tricky as it will easily go rancid.

Hi Roni, ouch on the bounce and the shingles. My 20 year old nephew had it last year. Sending healing vines that it goes away fast for you. :YMHUG:

My Neko LOVES the cold pressed coconut oil. I don't have to warm it or anything, she'll eat it straight out of the jar. My civie Theo is so-so on it. I think some people might warm it until it's liquid and syringe it in.

Hey Roni! What's up with the black-n-white cats needing to gain weight?! Just glad to hear Moonie is eating well and still adjusting to her new digs! AND 2 poops!!!!! ;-) I'm sorry to hear about your shingles. I have never had shingles (anti-jinx), but I have had chronic hives for 7 years now...so I understand the pain, burning, itchy (that itch you just can't scratch) and overall aches. I hope they leave quickly and never come back. Sending you and Moonie and Brad blessings, healing vines, and flood insurance vibes!

Hi Roni & Moonie,

So glad to hear how well Moonie is doing. From all reports on the coconut oil, all the cats who have tried it love it. Get the Tropical Traditions, Gold Label Virgin coconut oil that Marje and Jill recommend. If you buy the 16 oz. jar, you can get your money back if you don't like it: it's like a free trial. http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/?gclid=CJGVktrUxLMCFYN_QgodU0YAxQ

I am very sorry that you have shingles and hope you can get rid of it soon. I hear that it is very painful. It's a leftover from the chicken pox you had as a child (same virus: herpes zorster).

I hope that the flood insurance money will come soon. But I'm sure that it will arrive. How is the house doing? It's great that Moonie has adjusted so well to the apartment.

I'll call you over the weekend. In the meantime, sending YOU lots and lots of healing vines!! Hi to Brad.

Love and BIG HUGS,

Ella & Rusty

Oh no, lots fo healing vines and soothing snowflakes for the shingles. Definitely stress induced. Get plenty of rest and maybe a little meditation. Google the "shingles holistic treatment", there are some things that may at lest make you more comfortable.

I'm glad moonie is doing better and thanks for stopping by Tess's condo, we/ve missed you. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Hi Roni, so good to see you and a Moonie condo. Glad you have the link for the coconut oil. I haven't used it on Mags, as she's pretty fluffy. Sending lots of healing vines for your shingles. I had it once on my back and midsection, so painful. It is stress triggered, as others mentioned. I got it right before I moved to CA from PA, as that was major stress with the decision!
Prayers for your flood money to get here soon. Mags loves the Pill Pockets, too. I buy Chicken Greenies and hide the 1/4 pepcid in it. Hugs and love from us to you and moonie.

I'm glad Moonie is doing well and will eat the pill pockets for you. Sending prayers for Moonie and prayers for you to heal up from the shingles quickly.
