Well I am finally back, with his reduction he is all over the color chart but he is slowly coming into line. With the way he has been going I am guessing he might start his trial sometime around Christmas time.

Hello Julia,
I’m not sure Magellan will be ready for an OTJ Trial by Christmas.
He will need to be in normal numbers for 2 weeks before trying an OTJ trial.
I would try getting some more tests in during the pm cycles if you can to see what he is doing during the cycles.
Are you feeding him during the cycles?
I would try feeding him a snack at +9 to see if you can bring down the preshot BG.

Getting more tests is my goal, now that cat daddy is better at testing it will happen more often. I understand the maintaining of bg for 14 days but I can kinda hope he starts the trial before the first of the year. It would be a great birthday gift for Magellan. As for feeding during the cycle.. yes I do.. I place down the food for a 12 hr cycle and if he/they have not cleared the plates 2 hr before amps/pmps the plates get pulled. then returned refreshed and filled.

You want the remission to be strong so you need to keep giving the insulin as long as needed. If you stop too soon you may not get a strong remission. Keep posting each day with the numbers and we will help you.:cat:
