Checkers ate FFBeef for breffis. I'm at that point now, where I don't know if he's sill bouncing from 48 hours ago, or are we due to start new pen. Three day bounces always have me wondering about the efficacy of the insulin.
He's hiding in his cube. He knows I'm mad at him for peeing where he should not have.

Tux gets suspicious when I go near him now. I got the pill down him this morning, followed by yummy baby meat.....he waited until I walked away satisfied, then upchucked it. grr_red
Catching him again was fun.
Next one was followed by squirt of water. It might be under the bed by now. :YMSIGH:

Thank you Ella and Ann & Tess, for links to pillers. It would take too long to order, but I will see if I can find on locally.

Morning Barb,
Sounds a little interesting at your house this morning. I hope the rest of the day is nice and calm, with no pills under the bed. Once the pill is back down him, and your typing it... it turns into a pretty funny story. How the heck can they puke on demand to get the pill up???
OH poor little Checkers.. how can mommy be upset with you? Tell her your sorry and get some scritches. cat_pet_icon cat_pet_icon
I loves you mommy, didn't mean to pee there

Barb, I thought you were interested in Onsior reactions. So here goes. We only gave 1 dose but here's what i've got. Ollie ate really well after coming home from his dental. We gave him the Onsior and about 3 hrs later he almost totally stopped eating. He would smell his food, lick it maybe once or twice and then walk away. I carried it to him, put pureed shrimp on top, tried baby food, tried feeding him by hand, opened every kind of food we have, tried gravy from hc.. nothing seemed to work. We didn't give him the second dose that was due 24 hrs later. by 28 hours he started to eat again. I don't know how all the contributing factors combine but he ate great before the onsior and started to eat again about the time we figured it was wearing off. I'm contributing the eating difficulties to Onsior be hard on the tummy. ECID but i don't think i'd give it to ollie again. Esp. after hearing all the side effects. our dr. friend in Atlanta said he would only use it as a last resort.

Morning Barb, hope Checkers clears the bounce. That Tux is a real smartie pants with the pill popping!

Come on, Checkers. That's a step in the right direction. Clear that bounce!!

Hi Barb,

Sorry that you are still having pilling problems. I'm sure you can find a pill shooter in your local feed store (in the section with the "remedies"). Try to get one with a soft tip.

Have a good evening.

Hugs,

Ella & Rusty

I hope Checkers clears the bounce soon. Good luck getting the pills down Tux. Hopefully you can find a piller.

come on Checks, that yellow is looking good, think you can turn it into blue though?

Barb, you can also probably get a pill shooter from your vet, that's where I got my first one.

Hi Barb,

Racci is terrible with pills also. I usually have meds made into liquids for her or if it's possible do it myself. I've totally given up trying to get pills in her. It sounds like Checkers is just as bad with them. Good luck. In the future you might wwant to ask for the liquid version like I do. It's much easier. If there's a Petsmart or one of the big stores around, they usually have the pillers.

I hope Checkers feels better soon.

Have a good night.

Melanie & Racci
