Hello.
Shadow and I just returned from the vet. She had a small lump about the size of the end of a pencil eraser under her chin.
I got nervous after reading about Mowgli and oral cancer.
I had to go have it looked at.

She poked it, got a little fluid out on a slide, and then squeezed the rest of the fluid out, all flat now.
She thinks it was just a cyst, maybe a whitehead.
I'll watch to see if it comes back. Whew! Every little thing now will turn me into N-n-n-n-n-ervous Elk.k.k...... :lol:

Shadow was playful today. I tried to get a picture of her "cat trap" pose. If you pet her belly, she'll clamp on like a bear trap. But
as soon as I grabbed the camera, she ran over and got in her little cardboard lid so I aggravated her with toys on her head.
This picture is her "I don't want my picture taken" face. Just like a teenager when you grab a camera. :lol: :roll:

I've got lots to go get done. BBL.
today is my son's 21st bday. And I am making crawfish enchiladas con queso and homemade vanilla ice cream. His favorites.
No gifts to open. He only wanted money from everyone. :roll: ( I did get him a 8gb darth maul flash drive from his sister)

Still waiting for all of you to catch up and be at the falls!!
The more the merrier!
And still praying for all those who need it.
 
Great news. I think we are all so much more aware of things that can happen that our minds jump to the worst first. I'm glad to hear that it was just a cyst.
 
I'm so glad to hear Shadow's bump was just a little cyst, that's it's all flat and all you have to do is watch it stay flat!!

Hi Rhiannon. I'm glad Shadow's lump was just a cyst.
My tuxedo, looks just like him, and that white area on the chin has an infection in it, right now.

I'm really glad Shadow is still doing well at the Falls! :-D
 
I'm glad the bump was nothing serious and Shadow is still doing well. That's a cute picture. I hope your son enjoyed his birthday dinner. That sounds good.
 
DS liked his crawfish enchiladas and homemade ice cream.
Didn't make him eat any veggies. :o :roll: he didn't want them anyway.

I barely made it thru fixing all the food anyway.
Mid afternoon I started feeling puny.
Sore throat, right ear, achy, cold.

No idea where I picked this up....
I'm hoping to wake up without it.

So glad to hear that the bump wasn't something to worry about. Good girl, Shadow! And you are very photogenic.

Sounds like you made a neat birthday dinner for your son. 21 is a milestone. Reminds me of a birthday card I saw once: An old hag is standing in front of her refrigerator and the message goes something like this: "So you're 21. Big deal! I've got stuff in my 'fridge older than that."

Feel better tomorrow, Rhiannon. Maybe you ate too many enchiladas?

Shadow looks so beautiful in the picture even with her eyes closed! :lol: She's such a beauty. I'm so happy that the lump turned out to be nothing to worry about. I do the same thing whenever I see anything on Racci. I once took Racci in for a lump that turned out to be part of her ribs!! :lol: :oops: :o Talk about embarrassing! :lol: :lol:

Your son's birthday dinner sounds great! Wish I had some. :razz:
I hope you fight off whatever bug you picked up and don't get sick. Sending you healing vines!

Cute pic but the cyst popping description nearly made me lose my breakfast ewwww lol.

My civvie cat gets blackheads under her chin, we had to change all her plastic bowls to ceramic because they can grow bacteria which causes acne.. what are your food and water bowls made of?

She is a gorgeous girl!
 
What a Pretty Kitty! (pronounced around here as PritEEEE KitEEEE!!!) Im glad the bump is just a cyst - yeah, always good to get little things checked out so you don't drive your self crash worrying. Dinner sounds soooo good -we are all coming to visit! I haven't had crawfish in years. It's cool you make your own ice cream (oh, groan on that pun, sorry!) I hope you all have a great evening tonight, and glad you get one present. I'm like that - sure, you can ask for $$$ or gift certificates, but I have to be able to wrap up at least one thing!!!
 
Good morning Rhiannon and Shadow! I'm sorry to hear that you started to feel yuck last night and probably could not enjoy the "party" as much. I hope you are feeling better this morning.

So glad to hear that Shadow's lump was nothing. I bet that was a BIG sigh of relief, huh!

Good morning Rhiannon. Great to see a condo for Shadow again. Glad to hear how good he is doing and that the bump under his chin isn't anything serious.

Can you post some that food you're preparing so we can enjoy some. It sounds awesome. Our daughter prefers money on her birthday also. It makes easy on us because we never know what get but us old folks associate gifts with birthdays. The times they are changing.
