Well, I went slightly rogue and increased Minner from 6.25 to 6.5 at AM cycle. Yes, I continue to be frustrated with the lingering yellow, and yes I know its the nadir that drives dose changes and we had 60s 2 days ago, but the data you don’t see w/o reading the fine print in my notes is how much I’ve altered her food to try to stay on the 6.25 longer and hopefully see it work. We were down to only having 0% and 1% food options, no 3% pate meals in 10 days (the beef FF pate is one of her faves). Not only that but she was also running short on calories for the past few days b/c her numbers couldn’t support more food.
So I’m happy to share that Minner got to eat well today … AM and so far in PM. We did see that lantus long tail at end of AM cycle. I was 45min from leaving to a tennis clinic and got the 66 at +9 …. Groan. So had to get some 1% in her before feeling safe to leave, then she dropped again after i got home, by 20 points in 45min so her PMPS was 67. But she has been seeing these lantus long tails periodically for a while now.
She got to eat very good PM post shot meal, lots of 3%. I wasn’t sure if new dose would counter it, and jury maybe still out, but we’re surfing down slightly after initial food bump. Fingers crossed.
Today is day 6 using the antiseptic teeth/gum wipes. She hates it but tolerates it w/o killing me and forgives me quickly.
