Good morning :-D Hope everyone has a good day. Vines and hugs to those who need them :YMHUG:

The cats gave me a scare early this morning  Around 3am I heard a noise and it sounded like one of Squishy's asthma attacks :o I Since Squishy is a GA, I thought Leroy was coughing because his polyp things were irritated. Then I heard Leroy trilling his head off while that sound continued. My immediate thought was, Great! Now Emma has health issues ohmygod_smile. I got up and went to check on the cats. I turn on the kitchen light and both cats are looking at me. The sound, as it turned out, was the water fountain sputtering because there wasn't enough water @-) A refill took care of it. I went back to bed but both cats kept me up so I gave up on sleep. Barely awake now at TBP. I'm thinking of going back to a regular water bowl to avoid future early morning scares like that.

how about making it a habit of filling it just before bedtime?

I guess I could do that. Or buy the extra water reservoir thing. I have a basic Drinkwell fountain. I might change the fountain anyways. I can't get the motor out of the Drinkwell so I can clean the plastic parts :-Q

That pesky asthmatic water fountain! How dare it wake you up!

 It really did sound like an asthma attack  Just glad that it wasn't one of the cats making that noise.

It sounds like Squishy was paying a visit to you and needed to get your attention!

Maybe he was  Squishy usually communicates through light but maybe he decided to try a new method... and give me a scare to boot

How are you doing, Linda?

 perhaps it was too relaxed to function . . . ;-)

oh i could have some fun with that one . . . someone shoot me now! ohmygod_smile

my outdoor fountain did the same thing this morning. it's like a waterfall kind - all of a 12" waterfall - but i was going to leave it going because the squirrels and birds come to drink from it. it was partially frozen this morning and sputtering, so the DH unplugged it. now i'm worried that the water might freeze inside the pump and kill the whole thing. heehee i just mentioned it to the DH and he's gone out to check it out. it hasn't warmed above freezing all day, so not that i was being manipulative, but I didn't want to go outside. it's cold out there! :-D

I am doing well! I retired from my job this week after 34 years of service! Now what do I do?

Congratulations on your retirement :RAHCAT dancing_cat

congratulations Linda! i spent the past 2 years saying that very thing - i worked in youth ministry for 13+ years and it took my thoughts up nearly all the time. when i quit, i said exactly that. now what? but somehow days get filled up very quickly! of course FDMB alone can suck up hours every day if you're not careful!

what did you do?
