Not very good numbers for DC today.
I can't believe what a difference some kibble makes with the BG.
I received a box of samples in the mail the other day. I didn't bother to open the box thinking it was just junk I didn't want.
Obviously DC thought there was something good in it. He got the box open sometime in the middle of the night.
When I woke up to do his PM +6 he was munching on a sample bag of Wellness Core grain free. It's supposed to be MC around 11%.
I don't think so. I've been feeding MC wet on and off for the past month and never had numbers like this.
Any how DC was in his glory. He even shared with Frisky. Neither one of them was happy when I took the bag away.
I put it in the cupboard thinking I could use it as treats, but after checking BG's today, I tossed it in the trash.
If I have to use kibble for treats I will stick with the EVO at least it doesn't wreak such havoc with the numbers.
And to think he had perfect numbers yesterday. Or could this be a bounce from the 43 @ AM +5 yesterday?

All in all DC seems to be feeling fine. He's eating well and playing.
Hopefully the numbers level out by tomorrow.

it could be a little slightly delayed bounce. Not all come the immediate cycle after a lower green.

poor poor kitties taking away all the fun and yummies ! All that work to open the box and even willing to share..... gee whiz noreen.

well yes, any dry seems to add to BGs. so that might be a factor here too. Depends on how carb sensitive DC is.
and how much he ate.

I used core for treats no problem ..... only a few at a time.... but Winnie much preferred the liv a littles.
Civie on the other hand loved to have them for treats....... and were just fine for him

It's just one day. it's all good. He'll get back there again.

The bag only had about a cup in it to begin with and between the two of them they maybe ate 1/8 cup.
I usually use the EVO kibble for treats. I used to feed Wellness core before EVO and before all wet.
The EVO is about 3% lower in carbs than the Wellness. I didn't think it would be that bad considering how much wet MC he's been eating the past month without problem.
