Good Morning, Everyone,

A cold night and Rusty was so comfortable snuggling in his spot on the bed that he neglected to eat most of his nighttime food. But this morning breakfast was cleaned up. We had a schmooze and he is now in his little bed by the radiator. Yesterday we put the quilt on the door that connects the livingroom and the front porch, and it is indeed a big improvement, heat-wise. Rusty supervised. We move some of the furniture around for winter because we can't use the door with the quilt, so the futon now sits in front of the door and we brought in the 2 wicker armchairs from the porch to put where the futon had been. Rusty likes to sit in these chairs, so he's happy.

I may go to Plattsburgh today to get some food for Rusty. This evening there is an opening at the Artists' Guild gallery at 5 p.m.; we enjoy going to these openings (usually 1 a month), seeing people we know and viewing the new paintings. Saranac Lake has a very active artists' community.

Yo Kitties: tomorrow is the Full Cold Moon. Come over to my house today to help plan the Full Cold Moon Party. It's nice and cold here. We can sit on the radiators, sip hot tuna toddies, and munch cimmamum cookies.

Hi again,
It's very odd to have two such similar, high (for Rusty) flat days in a row. I'm beginning to suspect the new insulin cartridge. Rusty has had plenty of time to come down from his trip and bounces. If today's numbers continue into PMPS, I'm going to use the old cartridge for tonight's shot. Maybe that will tell something; maybe not!

Successful shopping trip to Plattsburgh. They didn't have Dave's 95% Chicken at the high-end store, however. They did have the 95% turkey, so I bought a can of that (they don't carry any of the other formulas, with the exception of the special-diet ones). Then I went to PetSmart and got two cases of Wellness: Chicken; Turkey. Now we'll have enough for a while. Also got some Pure Bites Freeze dried chicken treats (for cats; they don't carry them for dogs).

Off now to the art exhibit. Back in time for PMPS.

Good luck with tonight's shot. Hopefully you can figure out if it is the new cartridge.

I'll be there for the planning party. I love getting my paws warm on the radiator.

I think I should play 181 in the lottery! Went back to the old cartridge of Lev. tonight. Stay tuned! Off now to a movie evening with friends. bbl,

Good luck w/ the pen. I had one that was the last in a pack and gave awful numbers, when I switched to a new pen all was good again.

Is Rusty good on his Phos levels? The Dave's 95% Turkey is really high in phos. I don't think that is good for any cat. The Turkey and Giblets is the best and about the same for carbs.

The previous pen seems a little better, but I think Ann is right: I should go to a whole new box of cartridges. Let's see where he is at AMPS.
