I suspect she's bouncing today from those blues she saw yesterday. Being in better number also meant she was processing her food better and didn't need to eat as much. How much does she weight? 2.5 cans seems a reasonable amount of food.

She's about 5.3 to 5.5 kg I think? Can't remember her last weigh in. Which is 11.6 - 12.1 pounds. She's a big cat, was 6 kilos before her diagnosis (13.2 pounds) and losing over a kilo in 3 months was one of her diagnostic symptoms. Her weight has been pretty stable for a while, and the vet likes her curreny weight (they didn't love the 6kg). She's been pretty consistent at 3 to 3.5 tins for a while, sometimes down to 2.5 and occasionally up to 4.

She usually, the whole 7 years we've had her, has a really noticeable increase in food around autumn/winter and then it drops in spring/summer. She's part bear I think and likes to buff up for the cold .

We've had a mild autumn so far but the cold and shorter days are really kicking in this week so would expect her appetite to hold or go up usually. But she also forgets to eat sometimes, and has always tended to be lower when she does. The bounciness is a bit of a newer trend though!

Sorry she was nearly 7 kilos (15.4 pounds)! She's fundamentally a big cat, she's long and has big paws. But she was also chonky!

An unexpected late night for me and I did a random test and picked up another 4.6 (83). So back to 1 unit tomorrow I assume? Sigh. I just want her to settle and be as healthy as possible.

Her food consumption was a bit low again today, maybe 0.75 - 1 tin AM to PM and then the same PM until I am going to bed at +5, and .5 of that she just ate now when I reminded her she has food. So that's only around 2 tins so far. I'll see what she finishes off before her fast when I wake up in the morning. There is definitely a link between her lower reads and lower consumption but but sure which is cause and which is effect, and it isn't a 100% match.

This sweet fuzzball is driving me crazy!
