It's hard to even put it into words how happy Mandarin's numbers make me... and I am so glad that there is a community of people here who understands. My other friends just can't really grasp how awesome this really is. I had almost given up on getting him regulated when he came out of remission this last time, but it finally looks like his pancreas is once again starting to do its job after 4 months of very little movement.

I just wish that Walter would take some lessons from his brother... but, instead, he earned himself a dosecrease this morning.

...and while my two baby girls probably don't care about Mandarin's Glucose levels, they always knew that they have the best big brother. :kiss:

Great numbers for Mandarin; so happy to see him working the juice!
 
How adorable. It's great to see Mandarin doing so well. I hope Walter starts working the dosecrease and gets into better numbers.
 
Yay! Great job Mandarin!!! Oh, we all can relate to how good numbers make us super happy and high numbers make us all cranky!!

Mandarin has "snapped" back into his ol self! So super exciting. Hopefully Walter is just a few steps behind him. I think Mandarin is in love with his sisters....that is one of the sweetest pictures ever. Thanks for sharing, it certainly put a huge smile on my face.

Yes, he is... and they adore him. I just got another cute picture of him and Flora. They are too sweet!

....and Mandarin might be pulling off an all green cycle. :D Luckily, he was high enough that I got to sneak out for a few hours for some intros at the shelter. I took one of my personal dogs and he got to be the "tester." He has excellent dog skills and does well with just about anyone... and he loved running around in the snow for a while. Yes, it's snowing!

I wish I had an answer. He's on the same food, same Insulin, same dose - basically nothing has changed. ...and, obviously, it's not working for Walter. It's a Christmas miracle, I guess. :smuggrin:

Amazingly enough, we make it work. I usually wake up with everyone snuggled up next to me.
 
I could really kick myself: apparently, when I reorganized my closets and shelves yesterday, I must have misjudged the kittens' athletic ability and left a bag of pill pockets out. An almost full bag. And have I ever mentioned how obsessed Mandarin is with pill pockets? Well, at some time between +7 and +10, someone (and my money is on Flora) must have pulled the bag of pill pockets out of my shelf and dropped it on the floor. Evidence suggests that someone with sharp little teeth then proceeded to chew lots of holes into bag. And ate the pill pockets. Every last one of them. Judging by Mandarin's BG spike, he must have had a fair share... and since he wasn't excited about his dinner, he probably ate the vast majority of them.

I feel like a complete idiot and I really hope that I didn't ruin Mandarin's lovely run of greens for good.... but I also thought that the picture was too funny to not share it. Here he is, looking almost embarrassed... and the kittens quickly left the scene of the crime.

I'm liking those +3s a lot better. :woot: Looks like Mandarin is already coming back down and Walt is working his dosecrease. Sleep would have been lovely, but I don't think there's more ch of that in the cards for tonight.
