Good morning LL! Spike has settled back into his 5.5 units and is doing well. Hes been mostly green and blue with a few yellows thrown in just for contrast. He still spends a lot of day time in the glassed in porch especially when the suns out and it gets to a toasty 80 degrees. Once the sun sets he retires to the house to hang out with the beans. Yesterday he had the hungry horrors for some reason. I thought he might have been unusually low at +9 and tested but he was 95 which isnt low for him. Every time I looked at him he was sitting in front of his food plate looking at me. He really doesnt need the extra calories so I just gave him a spoonful here and there. Maybe it was just one of those days where he was bored and thought eating would do the trick (like us humans). Well thats about it for Spike, I hope everyone has a great day and remember just 20 more shopping days until Xmas.

Janice, you're always so good to remind us :-D 20 more days to shop. Ug!

I'm glad Jake is settling into his dose and enjoying his (80 degrees!) porch. I hope you enjoy your Caturday!

Nice Spike update  It's so nice when they settle into a dose and give you the lovely bloos and greens!

Have a good Caturday Janice!

Spike is just trying to add a few pounds for insulation purposes for winter. Or at least that's what I tell myself when I look in the mirror these days
Hope you and Spike have a great day.

Hi Janice,

So glad to hear that Spike is doing so well. Very nice #'s. My rescue kitty does the same thing with food. I have tested her twice. Once when I got her and a few weeks later. Both times it has been 70-80. So I guess it's not diabetes. I think with her its just that she didn't have food for so long. Spike well its probley the begining of the winter blues. But Spike at least you have that 80 degree porch.

Nice to see you and hope you are doing well.

Have a nice night.

I need to get an 80 degree porch for my kitties. Sammy has been pestering me all evening to open the windows. No way, it's COLD!

Spike just wanted to be sure he could still get you to react immediately when he wants food. He doesn't want to let you get rusty.
