Yesterday's Loose lips with links to fun videos :smile: One may cause an earworm (stuck in your head for days) :lol:

Ok so Leroy is not a very good jumper for a cat, especially an Aby ohmygod_smile He got onto the kitcher counter while I was washing something and I told him NO. So instead of jumping off, he jumps to the dining table about 4 feet away. Well, at least he attempted to. He hit the corner of the table :shock: and fell onto the floor flat on his side :shock: :shock: :o He was fine, just a little embarrassed. Emma was just looking at Leroy like he was a total klutz :lol:

It's okay Leroy, Willow had a very ungraceful fall yesterday. Hit his head on the desk and his belly on the computer tower. :roll:

love the pic, celi! punkin's loving his newly-re-discovered jumping skills. unfortunately, his feet are now size 10 from the acro and they don't work as well as they used to. he's been jumping on the back of the sofa then to a table pretty successfully for about a week now. he tried to jump up on the piano bench a couple of days ago though and splatted back down. it's not as high as the rest, but too slippery for him to land on.

watched the simon's cat video this morning - that was so funny. of course then i had to watch a couple more while i was wasting time.

yikes!! Stinky did that one time, going from one dresser to another and he missed, landing ribs first on the second dresser. poor guy knocked the wind out of himself for a few and shortened my life by several years

All of my cats have done a "face plant" at one time or another.

Have you guys noticed though, that the cats watching the "face planter" always have the look afterward of "Dude. And you call yourself a cat?"

At least it was only his pride that got hurt. Mikey once went to jump from the kitchen island to the counter by the sink JUST as my roommate went to rinse out a container that had had spaghetti sauce in it. Mikey landed in the container with all four feet. His little white toes were orange for a while...

hahahaha i read that about mikey landing in the spaghetti sauce, then i look across and mikey is definitely laughing in his profile picture! :lol:

Poor Mikey :lol: Squishy Merlin wasn't much of a jumper but when he did jump he had good aim, even if his aim was your stomach as you were sleeping :shock:

The polyp things are likely still there. I wonder if they can shrink a bit on their own? confused_cat

I recently changed out the air filter in my HVAC system per the recommendation of the service person. Maybe that has helped minimize irritations Leroy breathes in that may have irratate those polyps. The old filter was loaded with all the wood dust from my floor installation summer of last year :shock: The new filter doesn't seem to fit right even though I bought the same brand and size as the old one. The filter only fits into slot one way. Every time the HVAC fan turns on, the filter gets partially drawn upwards with a loud thunk and it drops back down with a loud thunk when the fan turns off. Needless to say, it drives Leroy nuts @-) I did a quick fix: tie the filter to the vent cover using thread so it doesn't move. Fingers crossed that it will work nailbite_smile

oh emma, be still my heart! what a doll - and yes, what a, well, i'm not much on kissing cat tummies, but what an inviting belly! i want to scritch it!
 
Thanks :-D Emma likes to show off her tummy :smile: Under all that fur she has that cute pancrease Dr. W found in the ultrasound earlier this year :lol: Of course after I took the picture Leroy had to jump on cute tummy and that set off some wrestling and hissing :roll:
 
Ouch! I'm surprised he isn't an Olympic jumper from what I've seen and read of his breed also. Ouch. Glad he's okay.

Love that tummy!

Tom has not had many face plants, he seems to somehow have a good sense of his ability / limitations.
Minnie on the other hand has had many. She our clumsy one :roll: so funny how they look embarassed when they miss.
 
What a great condo! Hate to think of the kitties face-planting. Injured kitty pride, it's a terrible thing. :o

We've taken to creating carton stairs everywhere Kitty likes to go (aka everywhere). Doesn't do much for the decor, but whatever Kitty wants...Kitty gets! :mrgreen:

Lisa (and Do Lou) probably has more graceful Aby jumpers. Leroy is just a clumsy Aby (How did I end up with another weird pet ohmygod_smile ). He falls off the cat tree while climbing up @-) And he slips and skids across the floor while running after Emma... and usually ends up crashing into a wall or door @-) Leroy face planted right into a wall omce while going after a toy :shock: He was a little stunned but ok.
